         Hi

A few minutes ago I wrote out this big long intro, and then lost it!!  Hate when that happens.  So my apologies if I just hit the wrong button or something, and I get my intro posted 5 or 6 times!

So Nibbles is my precious bunny.  She is less than a year old.  My daughter is the one who got her, but after a few months couldn’t care for her the way she should be cared for.  We adopted her and it’s been true bunny love ever since.

I had never had a bunny before so it was new territory for me.  I did tons of research ( and am still doing research just because I feel I can never know too much about bunnies ) and learned a lot.  One of the first things I learned was about spaying/neutering.  Once I found out how female bunnies can die a horrible death due to reproductive cancer if not spayed, then I started searching for a good vet.  So now she’s spayed and I’m glad that’s over with.

Nibbles is very shy and nervous.  We let her out for about a total of 8 hours a day to play and exercise.  On the weekends she is out for more than that.  She has the biggest pen that we could find, and it is all decked out the way she likes it.  She has tons of toys, condos, etc.  There’s hay and toys everywhere!!  She certainly has transformed our lives and our house.    She’s tried to make friends with the cat but he just wants to be left alone.  He’ll watch her from a distance or just kind of sit there with an annoyed look on his face when she runs circles around him.  It’s very amusing.  We always lock the cat out of Nibbles (bunny proofed) room when she’s out of her pen.

Anyhow, I’m going to try to post this without messing up again.  My avatar is a pic of Nibbles.  Oh, and even though I am very new to the bunny world, I am most certainly a bunny slave already!!

Welcome! And Kudos to you for taking her in and acting quickly to get her spayed. It really is so important for our ladies to be spayed!

She looks very pretty, I can’t wait to hear more about her and see more pics!

Hello you two! I’m new on here and new to the bunny world too, so we can both learn together. I want to see pictures of her pen and condo. Sounds nice! It’s really good that you took her when you’re daughter couldn’t care for her anymore so she went to a good home for sure.
