Well thanks to the both of you And Petzy it is much easier that way. It is also a lot easier now that Baxter has a lot of space and he is not hormonal in the least. Glad to have that era over with lol. He is exploring a lot though. He has never been in my kitchen. I don’t know why I didn’t put him in there in the first place. I sat down on the floor and he hopped right onto my lap lol My MIL took him outside a lot when she had him and he loved it! I’m going to do the same.

Thanks lol Bella is Billy now. He is a boy now. lol I call him Bella by habit. No, my MIL wants him. She has been wanting a pet so badly but my FIL wouldn’t let her have an animal in the house. When they took care of my 2 buns they let them live inside and got very attached to them. Bella (Billy) is very sweet but unaltered and really I shouldn’t have gotten a second rabbit. It worked out though. I have Baxter and he’s happy and she is going to keep Billy and he’s happy. I have turned my In laws into bunny slaves lol. They play with them and talk about them all of the time now.

I thought your goal was to have the two of them bonded tho. That is usually the intention when getting a second rabbit. I’m glad your MIL has to take to him. Do they realize that he will probably need to be neutered?

I dleted the “Nibbles” account since that was just a duplicate.

I did want to bond them but I soon realized that right now, we can only afford one. If I am going to have a rabbit I need to be able to afford to take care of it the way it deserves and 2 was just too much for right now. Not to mention the time it takes to bond them and making sure they both get my attention. I have 3 kids too. Baxter is enough for us lol. He gets lots of attention. My MIL really loves Billy and takes care of him so I let him live with her. He is indoors and well provided for. I told her that he is going to get to be a handful and will need to be neutered. I don’t think she is sold on it yet but I don’t think she will have a choice once he gets to be that way. He has sprayed at my house so he will there too. I’m going to make her a bunny house for him for Christmas.

Yes she is. She is also an animal lover I was willing to take Billy back but she wanted him. She talked about them (and still does) all of the time. She’s always telling everyone funny things they do. My Husband and I both think he is good for her. All of our family is 6 hours away so she just has her husband and us here. Her Husband is at work during the day and out in his shop at night so the bun keeps her company.

Well, in this case, I am very happy it has all worked out! Please continue to update us on Billy. And where are the new pics of Baxter?

Two buns can be expensive. Especially when one is so big and must eat like a horse! And when you’re paying for surgeries yourself… Keep in mind, you always have the option of adopting an altered bunny later as a companion for Baxter if you decide. It’s never too late, so you could even wait a couple years.

Brittany he is not flemmy huge but big New Zealand big lol. Beka that is what I was thinking too. I would love to adopt one in the future. That way I can take Baxter with me when I go. Not for a while though…he is enough for now.lol I am planning on getting some pics up very soon. I have been so busy trying to get my house organized and then yesterday my brakes failed on my car when I was driving Baxter to the Vet so I had to turn around and coast it home I will soon though I promise!

Thank goodness I was just right down the street when they went out. My husband said that a break line broke. It was leaking everywhere!
