hello, Im Shayna and I am joining here with my bunny, Jenny. I have had bunnys for a little while now, my first was about 5 mos when adopted her from my local HS, I lost her at the age of 6 to Pasturellosis last year, the abesses was under her ear and pressed into her brain causing seizures, I has the abbess surgicly drained and she lived an extra 6 months seizure free until it came back and she passed away  after that I kept checking my local HS webiste for a new bunny and Jenny came in, then called “petra” I kept staring at her every day, and after a month she was STILL there..all the other bunnys getting adopted around her..we held off due to her size..Kari had been 7-8lbs so she held up fine with all my dogs..Petra was only 4lbs which scared us. but after seeing her their for a month we went to meet her..and fell in love..she came home the following day, and though small..she holds up just fine with my dogs lol, Jenny is an adult…no idea as to her age, but I have had her for 1 year now, she appears to be an english spot mix, so she is very active! I open her pen when I get up in the AM and she has free run until I go to bed….when I didnt do that she simpley scaled the pen and gave herself free run anyway lol. Jenny is doing lots of training..I took out some cheerios a few weeks ago and she dug againt me bed peering at me..I gave her a cheerio figering thats what she wanted..she got her cheering then suddenly started at me..and tried digging againt my bed again..then when I realized tjis was a smart bunny and started freeshaping her..in only 2 weeks she cane now come, jump a seris of jumps close or at a distance, run up and down a ramp, target with her nose, place her front paws on a mark and she is learning to shake a paw..its exactly like training a dog its hilarious, she will cock her head and look at me and try different things till she gets the treat lol

this is a really old pic, but my main computer was totally screwed up by a nasty virus, and I lost my more recent pics..i have some on my camera but cant get em off as my netbook doesnt have the capabilty for a photo program

Kari was assumed to be a “normal” Holland lop because around the time she she was picked up(as a stray) a bunch of other lops and mini rexes were also picked up in the same area..which was near a rabbit “breeder” who bred Holland lops and Mini rex’s, this breeder had 50 rabbits for sale..and litterally overnight suddenly ALL of them were “sold” and a bunch of rabbits that look an awful lot like hers appeared at at the shelter!

Kari was very smart too, just not in the “I wanna work for you” kind of way lol more in the “i am gonna do what I want” kinda way!
