I’m really bad at checking in especially since our son arrived almost 16 months ago.
I still have Holly! I’m proud of that because this time last year I wasn’t sure if I’d still have her. I found abscesses on her neck. The vet thought it was pasturalla. The vet showed me how to treat her since surgery wasn’t an option for us. I treated her from May to November. Finally, they all went away. I often check her out, but so far I haven’t found any thing.
My son has gotten so big! He’s now walking. I’ve worked hard training him not to pull her ears. Constant supervision is still needed, but I don’t see him actively trying to pull on them as he once did. Around easter time, when there were a million stuffed bunnies sold in the stores, he’d go up to them and pet them on the noses. We always praised him when he did this. He went up to Holly today and pet her that way. I was very proud of him. He also knew mom was looking. He has a routine now at nap time and at bed time. He has to say good night to every member of our family. He doesn’t talk yet, but he waves or kisses everyone. Holly gets a wave or a nose pet if she comes to where he can pet her. It is really cute. Holly doesn’t seem to be afraid of him either.
I still don’t let them be together much. However, when they are, it usually goes well. Once she got out of her enclosure and hopped right into our living room. I had to slow Zach down cause he was almost chasing her. She stopped though and let him pet her.
I am enclosing an Easter picture of them both. No baby or bunny was hurt in the photo op.
