  I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much. Poor Quantum’s breaking Mike’s and my hearts. She’s been losing mobility in her left hind leg after having already lost it in the right. Her bowel/bladder control have been about nil and now, since yesterday late afternoon, she doesn’t seem to be able to get comfortable. She didn’t come over last night for her several time a day pet sessions. She’s just hunched up, looking unhappy. She’s not tooth-grinding, but you can tell she’s uncomfortable. So. I’m getting ready to call the vet and I know what’s going to happen. I want what’s best for her, but it’s so darned hard to let go of my beautiful, butterfly-nosed baby.

  Hugs to you. You are doing what is best for Quantum. I know it’s hard to make these decisions but I know your vet will steer you in the right direction too.

  She’s gone. Mike came home to say goodbye this morning and then I took her in. She’d pretty much lost all mobility in both hind legs. It’s just so damned hard. Mike was crying, too, and said like he felt like we’d let her down. I keep trying to tell him that the person who let her down was her previous owner who bred her several times, never had her fixed and then just let her loose. But it’s hard.

  You are so right, her previous owners let her down – you have given her so much. I recall from your other posts how much she has meant to you both. You really have honored her in giving her a loving home and now sending her peacefully to the rainbow bridge. This doesn’t make her loss easier I’m sure. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

  My condolences to you and Mike. Saying goodbye is so, so hard. You loved her enough to end her suffering even though it would cause you to suffer. That was your last gesture of love to her.

  I’m so sorry. Again, thank you so much for rescuing her, for loving her and providing her the very best. Sometimes our furkids are only with us for a short time, but she’ll always have a place in your hearts… She knows how good she had it with you. I’ll be keeping you and Mike in my thoughts… Hugs.

  I’m so sorry about Quantum. You gave her comfort and love, and acted in her best interest. You and Mike did the best you could, and she knew that.

  I am so sorry to hear about Quantum. I know it was hard, but you really have done the right thing and Quantum knew that too. She is watching over you from the Bridge and waiting for the day you will all be reunited.

  I hope you are doing better. I know you both miss Quantum so much. I am sure she is saying thank you for all the love and care you gave her and the ability to let her go to the RRB.
