For example, what’s in your car stereo right now? Or what radio station is on the most? If you’re a Pandora person, what does your lineup look like?
As for me:
Car stereo: Billy Idols greatest hits
Radio: an alternative music station. I like it because they play old 90’s grunge and alternative as well as new stuff.
Pandora: I have mine on a shuffle mix of 3 stations : Skillet (Christian rock) Apoptygma Berzerk (electronic/industrial) and VAST ( alternative)
I just listen to music on my ipod.
What’s pandora?
I like country and pop. Bruises by Train is the best song ever
Gosh! So this is a what are you listening to right now? Not your favourite? Cause I have the coolest favourites list ever, ha ha ha (not that you’ll agree)!
Ok, Alanis Morrisette – Thank you.
Neil Diamond – Solitary man.
and Prince – Kiss just started playing….
Yes, I have my iPhone in the dock on ‘shuffle’! I can’t wait to hear what plays next??? Ha ha ha ha……
PS – Yes, what’s Pandora?
PPS – And I promise you I like more cool stuff (music) too. I love it all from the 70’s right through to now and a bit of everything EXCEPT super heavy metal and techno crap! I ‘love’ my music!!!
I should add, I do love a bit of Billy! (Go the 80’s!).
And Tessie – not sure if this is too old for you, but I still love Dolly Parton’s Jolene and Coat of many colours, along with Kenny Rogers The Gambler.
Pandora is an APP that you can get on your iphone and it plays genres of music or music similar to artist you like etc…the free APP has commercials but oh well…
I am listening to the Begin Again soundtrack over and over. Great movie, fabulous soundtrack
Otherwise I shuffle between country, current hits, and mostly singer-songwriter stuff like Ben Taylor (who sounds so much like his father it is scary), Joshua Radin, Matt Kearney, Ben folds etc
My playlist looks like a bunch of random songs. Normally I only like 1 or 2 songs from artists. I normally don’t listen to half the songs on my playlist.
But I do like most songs from The Wanted.
I prefer Spotify since it has a web player you can use on your laptop (and others) in addition to the app. However the iTunes radio app is good as well. I build lists depending on what I feel like. Right now I have ones for EDM, top 40, Disney, and instrumental. The last one is pretty extreme as I have everything from symphonies to pop-like stuff from Lindsey Sterling.
Yeah…….I don’t have a playlist. And I feel really old!!!!! I still like CD’s and I think I will buy them until they are obsolete.
LPT, I was thinking the same thing. While I like Pandora and I have an iPod, my favourite music is still in my CD collection.
I tend to go through phases with music genres. Right now it’s mostly an alternative phase. But sometimes it’s heavy metal, hair bands, oldies (50-60’s) pop. Anything but country and rap
And Henry, let’s hear your favorite s list
when im working (i work from home) i just listen to retro video game soundtracks on youtube
Lana Del Rey / a mixture of everything in my car
Pandora: Aerosmith, Nirvana, Ellie Goulding, Billie Holiday
Ipod: A mixture that my friend claims gives her whiplash the genre’s switch so much.
you will now find yourself swaying side to side with this 90’s commercial stuck in your head for the rest of the day
I use pandora a lot. It has the website and app, but I mainly just use the website since I play music on the PC mostly.

Curse you longhairmike! That song was darn catchy lol
I just want to say that I hope no one is driving and posting on BB at the same time. LOL
My husband still prefers CDs. I guess I do too, but probably because I don’t want to buy an ipod and then download all of these songs that we already have on CDs.
Helmet keeps making it’s way into the CD player in the car. They have a concert coming up soon.
You could buy a regular Mp3 (non-apple) player and convert the CDs to Mp3 format and upload them to your MP3 player.
Pandora has given me a lot of trouble, so I don’t like using it. I use Spotify instead, and it is well worth the monthly fee. As for the music, I play the violin and mostly listen to classical.
One of my favorite contemporary artists is Kimbra!
Stickerbunny – I did buy an mp3 player a few years ago and the sound was horrible. I have a pretty fancy CD player in the car, so it will have to do for now.
I have really weird taste in music that spans back to classic rock to modern heavy rock to pop music to classical music to movie/video game soundtracks. But my ultimate love is musicals. I have been listening to musicals on Pandora a lot lately. The buns seem to really like musicals too so I noticed I tend to play it a lot more than before. They’re not huge fans of my rock music or my dubstep. Their favorite seems to be the ratpack music I play. They really like Michael Buble surprisingly. I think it has to do with how the music is composed and it doesn’t hurt their ears.
I’m not currently listening to any thing, but I did have the Sirius XM on Y2K Kountry all day in the shop.
Radio: X96 It is a wonderful alternative radio station and I love that they don’t ridiculously overplay songs like some other stations.
Pandora: The station I listen to is a total mess of bands that I’ve been adding to for years. I’m not even going to delve into that. lol
Youtube: I have a playlist on there that I’ve been adding to for a few months. I’m not delving into that right now either. I also listen to the Tasty Network on there. ♥
Yeah, I’ve noticed some songs annoy the buns. I also found out they disapprove of my dancing and singing along with songs lol I get lots of judgemental thumps when I do! Hehe
I got my Rasta on today! I’ve been in the mood for reggae all day.
I love the 90s on 9 – XM/Sirus radio, the Acura came with that. In the Flex I plug in my iPod – I’ve been listening to a lot of Lorde lately. And on Pandora – I like to listen to one of the 90s channels. But the bunnies don’t. LOL So classical for studying it is…
My buns don’t like loud bass, or high notes. Drum heavy music like from the football games on Fridays (we live near a football field for HS) causes them to thump along until it stops. lol
All music annoys Monty. I can turn on any type of music and he immediately starts thumping.
Haha, the little stinker! He hates everything! And I love him!!!!!
Oh Sonn – Henry and I wouldn’t get along if he didn’t like music… LOL!
Ok BrunosMama – remember you asked, ha ha ha ha! Ok, all music from the 90’s onward to now I love song’s, not so much the artist except for Pink! She is brilliant. My passion is mostly for the old stuff ‘classic’ rock from my youth (and yes, I class 30 as my youth!) Lol!
Meatloaf
Bryan Adams
Cat Stevens
George Michael
Human League
Live
Oasis (not so much a fan of the band, but I love their songs)
Pearl Jam
Pink Floyd
QUEEN!!!
REM
Rick Astley
Rod Stewart
A lot of BBer’s will be reading my list and going ‘HUH’? Lol…..
My kid’s know all these artists/bands and their songs – they grew up with them. I actually took my daughter when she was 17 to see Meatloaf (song Paradise by the Dashboard Light is our family favourite) and we saw a couple of others that I listed too.
Queen is touring in September with Adam Lambert and my youngest son (22 now) and I are DESPERATE to go, ha ha ha!
I should add that all my song’s on my iPhone are from ‘my’ CD collection and on occasion I’m given an iTunes card so I can download a few favourite new songs – though it’s not so new now, the last song I downloaded was ‘Feel This Moment’ by Pitbull featuring Christina.
And I’m not ashamed to admit I don’t mind a bit of Barry Manilow – my fav song is ‘Mandy’!
AH – your list is awesome! I love Live. Their Throwing Copper album was my very first CD. My husband is a huge Meatloaf fan. I love Queen too, although I have not heard them with Lambert. In fact, I’ve said for a long time, if you hear Queen on the radio somewhere, it’s gonna be a good day.
The only thing I can think of right now-
Brush your teeth, twice a day, floss your teeth, once a day…..
Ha ha ha ha!
You just made yourself a NEW bestest friend BrunosMama, ha ha ha ha…….
Anyone who replies to my post with ‘my hubby is a HUGE Meatloaf fan’ and loves LIVE – my favourite song is ‘lightning crashes’!!! along with everything from their Throwing Copper album! And to say a great day is when you hear Queen playing on the radio…. I couldn’t agree more! Hug’s to you (AND the hubby!).
LOL!!!
We missed the Helmet concert because there was a private memorial for my husband’s aunt that night. My husband really wanted to go. =(
Ohhh LBJ – bugga!
At this exact second on Youtube I’m listening to an inappropriate parody of a video game rap. Just cause it’s so perfect. Called It’s Dangerous To Go Alone Take This.
Uhm normally my music would be hardstyle, jumpstyle, trance, nightstep EDM. Or metal. Any kind of metal.
But recently I’ve been obsessing with one song in particular. Shatter Me Featuring Lzzy Hale by Lindsey Stirling. I will repeat that song over and over for hours nonstop. Such a beautiful song. <3
AH- Throwing Copper is probably my favourite Live album, although I have several others. They’re pretty good. My husband told me when he was younger his friends asked him to a concert. It was the first one he’d been to. Turns out it was a Live concert!! At the time he had never heard of them. I’m super jealous lol I have one of Queens greatest hits cds – I have two copies and neither one plays right because it a overused and worn out lol I finally recently downloaded the allbum on my iPod so it will play.
Your gonna hate me BM – I’ve seen Live twice! Brilliant concert/s! The first concert he walked out with a cane and a hat and when he started singing the audience erupted! He took the hat off and showed his ‘bald’ (shaved) head and the audience (including ME) just exploded ‘again’ – they are awesome in concert! Your hubby is a lucky man!
Don’t tell anyone, but most of my CD’s are scratched from playing them after toooo many drinks (getting them in and out of the CD player) – that’s when my hubby put my CD’s onto my iPhone. We’ve saved a fortune since not having to replace ‘my’ CD’s, ha ha ha ha ha!
Here’s one for you all – my first concert was at the age of 14 and it was….. ‘Duran Duran’! Does anyone know who they are??? LOL!
Lol I know Duran Duran! Everybody knows Rio and hungry like the wolf
Note to AH – al this talk about Live got me wanting to hear some lol. I have their greatest hits CD on my iPod, it is now in my car. Thanks! Lol
Has anybody heard the song rude by magic? It goes something like this:
Edited it out. I thought comment was too long with the lyrics. will post link later.
Here ya go: (If it isn’t clickable I’m sorry, I’m not good at computers… )

(HATE to triple post, but I had to add that I didn’t make that lyrics video and DO NOT own it. I’d hate to get in trouble for taking credit. )
Moxie! That’s how you get your ‘post’ count numbers up! HA HA HA HA HA!
And yes BM! I have to admit since our chat I have ‘over’ indulged in LIVE myself!!! Lol…..
Serious – they are that good! (and luckily my hubby likes them toooo! – none of this ‘turn it down’ nonsense!) ha ha ha ha…..
Im not listening to music right know but I am listening to Tangled the Disney Movie!! Its such a cute movie, I love it soo much!!
Oh I LOVE LOPS – I just bought the movie for my son’s birthday! We have to wait till the end of the month before we get to watch and enjoy it……
I can’t wait! He he he he…..
PS – my son is a BIG ‘kid movie’s’ fan – so we have them all (eventually). His older sister (almost 27 now) often sorts through his collection to ‘borrow’ some for the weekend, ha ha ha…..
