Tell us a story of something naughty your bun did this week!
Otto is usually so well behaved, but he does have a weakness for nibbling on stuff I leave on the shelf under the coffee table. Usually there are only some magazines, a tissue box, and a boardgame box and I don’t mind if he takes a bite out of them once in a while. Last night, however, I had thrown a ball of yarn down there to get it out of my way. I noticed him pushing at it, but I chased him off and figured he was done with it. A few hours later, I see him going at it again (from a different angle so I can’t see him as well). I go over to check it out and he has the yarn in his mouth! I grabbed it from him and he had cleanly cut the yarn in half and was proceeding to eat one end like a piece of spaghetti. The centimeter or so that was in his mouth was all wet and gross too.
Lets see… Moose likes to move his pen around. He goes to one end of it and pushes or tugs on it, making TONS of noise… he did that at 3 am this morning. Bad bun!
Monkey… well. She took offense at my hubby talking to her yesterday and growled and lunged at him. And all he did was say “Hi Monkey!” Such a snob, she is
Lol, poor hubby!! That is not ladylike behavior at all.
Hey, have you ever seen REAL monkeys on AFV? They go at people all the time, male or female. I think it’s hilarious! Your hubby must have the same problem as mine, MB…my bunnies are one-person only and anyone else who comes to interact is going to get bunny butts, thumps or outright nips if you try to get TOO friendly.
Well let’s see…this week was all Pip. First thing, she took a decent chunk out of the tip of my right hand middle finger trying to get her cookie. Pulled a plastic bag through the pen bars that I was using to clean her cage with that I had to yank back before she got her teeth into it, (she ripped some good holes though), and she almost got hold of one of my sock bunnies that I had set a little too close to the pen and I thought the same thing was going to happen to it, but she wound up just giving the ear a kissy. lolz…
So I can’t really say she was being bad, I just happened to put myself and other objects too close to the piranha tank… 0_o
Kay & Winston have not done anything bad this week – hmmmm, maybe they are planning something????????
lol…For some reason this just brought to mind that perhaps there should be a warning system (like the one for terror attacks) to post in our homes for when we should anticipate a bunny naughtiness episode? ~_~
Right now, I’d have to say the naughtiness level in my house has fallen to orange.
My bunnies like to be bad with their hay. Some may remember the Marshmallow incident with the hay and ceiling fan…
This time it was Pacey’s turn he has long hair so anytime hay is anywhere it gets stuck ALL over him and takes forever to get it out. I use a shoebox for his hay in the cage and this walk in container type thing when they are out running around. He was out playing this morning while I was cleaning when I hear a loud bang and go rushing into the hallway. The ENTIRE walk in hay box thingy is turned over with hay everywhere including blowing up in the air from the heat vents. Pacey is perched on top of the box munching away at some hay and there is no bunny there just a little ball of hay with eyes. It took me almost 5 hours to remove all of the hay from him and he was no happy at all about that.
The box in the hallway has about 10 nails in it to secure it to the wall lol
Just when I thought I had bunny proofed my room …
The one cord, the ONE cord that was within Boo’s reach happened to be my computer keyboard. All the other computer cords are blocked off with boards. I now have a new -wireless- keyboard (love!). Try to nibble your way through it this time buddy!
I haven’t had to pet proof a room in so long — now I’m having a friend come over some time this week to even more bunny proof it.
Just moved in to our new apartment in Colorado… and the buns have already eaten several corners of carpet.
::sigh::
I had a similar thought as Sage Cat. There hasn’t been ANYTHING naughty this week.
*Glances nervously at the bunnies…*
Sonn, can you imagine if Pacey and Marshmellow got into the hay together? Absolute mayhem. I wish you had a pic of that hay pile with eyes! lol
I jinxed myself by reading this thread
Was tidying up Onigiri’s pen and while she was out she decided that it’d be okay to jump on a shelf that I store bunny-related items (dust pans, newspapers, plastic bags, etc) and knock it all off because she just HAD to see what the shelf looked like without all of that up there. Than she proceeded further to knock it around all over the floor of the entire room that’s already sorta messy. x_x Thanks, Oni.
naughty MJ moment of the week: i left a job application on my coffee table and was going to fill it out today, but i went into the kitchen this morning to get some cereal and came back to find he had somehow gotten the edge of the application and pulled it off the coffee table and was in the process of shredding it when i rounded the corner.
needless to say, i don’t think i’m going to apply there, now. lol
i just like that there was plenty of junk mail on the table, too, but NO! he just haaaaad to get the application.
i take it as a warning sign. i bet he knew it would be a crappy place to work and was just saving me the misery. hehe
Maryann staged a break out last night. Hadta chase the two of them back into their pen.
I was sick with an awful head cold over the weekend, and apparently lying on the couch sneezing and gurgling was not sufficient entertainment for Primcess PepperPants. She got into the trash can full of snotty tissues and scattered them all over the living room. Pets are gross.
Haha Wendy!! My buns do the same thing : D
Our apartment complex recently painted all the buildings and patios. The patio storage closet door were painted bright white. Dexter decided to go out on the patio and crawl behind the HUGE cardboard house outside. I have no idea how his little body could move that thing, it is quite heavy! Well he felt the need to rip off the layers of paint of the first 8 inches or so of the door! Now it is all shredded, goodbye apartment deposit! Sneaky little bun that he is, you just can’t stay mad at him for very long!
Since Bun is confined to her home until her foot is better I’ll have to give you all a story from last week.
1.) I was holding her and she was kissing me as usual (she has become so obsessed with grooming me!) She’s licking my nose and then my chin and then *BITE* right on my chin! So I said, “Bun! That was nice nice, you get out of here and go play somewhere else.” So I put her down and she runs across the room and found a bra I had laying there and started flinging it lol
2.) Whenever I eat a banana, I give her a tiny sliver and she then becomes obsessed. So after I was done I threw the peel away, and later in the day she got in the trash and pulled out the peel. I caught her right when she got it out, so here I am chasing after her and she’s running away with the banana peel!
HAHAHA…..had a good time reading everybun’s stories of bad bunnies! My Bailey is so bad too, she is my escape artist, chewer and destroyer of anything she can find. I honestly don’t know where she finds thing to destroy that are important to me, but she has a place in my heart! I just never had a bunny like her before! The world is her dish…..and she wants to eat it!!
Bun has been pretty well behaved this week, letting me in her cage to clean up with out a fuss…even accepting pets from me!
Indy…well he is having issues with me not letting me sleep. I put him away in his cage and 5min later he escapes and is on my bed licking my face again. I was so mad and tired i zip tied his cage door shut lol. I lay there some nights petting him for over an hour …bunny spooning..rofl. Seriously as soon as I stop petting his face for 2 seconds it’s my turn to get groomed. So he has to sleep in his own bed now I know I said this last week but I got soft again and kept him out. Now i’m being firm!
Blossom…hmm I don’t think she could ever be bad!
Sigh,,,and now I look over at Indy and see him digging in his fleece blanket…after I just posted that he is really good about his fleece bedding.
Lol, Lintini. I love your stories of Indy in the bed being a pain in the butt. It’s so cute, but I can imagine how annoying it would be at 3am!
And just wait, Blossom will start to figure out what she can get away with pretty soon 😉
Last night Otto decided to go for my magazines again. He has a phone book *right there* but prefers to grab for the copies of Wine Spectator that live under the coffee table. Last night I found him with one out in the middle of the floor and he’s flipping through it like he’s reading. Lol. At least I have a cultured bunny 😉
Well, Mimzy is back to being obnoxious, so I know he’s feeling better.
Every morning the predawn light comes in about 9 AM now, and he’s back to flipping his litter box around because he knows that gets my butt up.
The other day I removed his sleeping shelf for a good scrubbing, and just for giggles I left the litter box on the opposite side of the pen from where it usually is. But without the shelf in there, I didn’t think it would be a problem.
I don’t even get down the hall to the bathroom with the shelf and “WHUMP…(scrape)…WHUMP…(scrape)…WHUMP!” I can hear it being dragged and shoved across the floor to where HE wants it. When I returned immediately to the room, I get the stink eye.
Naturally, I apologize profusely and return the litter box to it’s proper place.
I am SO bunny whipped… *sigh*
hehehe Mimzy sure does sound adorable
He’s not so adorable at 9 AM when I only got to sleep four hours earlier…lol.
I know that feeling… we finally had someone come by after almost a year of having to deal with birds in the vent in our bedroom ceiling… I can sleep tomorrow yay! Unless Moose decides to move his pen around at 6 am again… >.<
Wow…birds in the vent for a year? 0_0
We had an asparagus fern on our porch that robins would come and nest in every year that was right by our kitchen window. It was funny to see the little babies poke their big beaks up in the air when momma or poppa came by with food, but at least they weren’t keeping us up with incessant peeping (or pooping).
We did lose the fern though. We didn’t want to water it because it was a basket hanger and we were afraid to get the baby birds wet or scare off the folks.
Yeah it was crazy.. we kept calling the office, they kept saying they’d get it taken care of… and then management changed. So we had to harass them about it and finally today after 10 months of it, they finally installed a screen on the vent lol. I told hubby if I had to live through another nesting season int he vent id freak and pack up and make him move… dangit now i dont have an excuse to get a house
Both bunz have been pretty good lately, but I attempted to pick up Gulliver yesterday morning & I now have a few scratch marks on my wrist. He usually doesn’t react that strongly…I think I caught him off guard & spooked him ’cause a few minutes later he was back to himself. Then, we usually block off the living room once they go down the hall back to their bedroom, but I was watching a movie in the family room & forgot. I caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye & there was Lainey up on the couch in the corner AGAIN. We literally have pillows placed where she has dug holes in between the cushions & the back. When I caught her, she just started binking up and down the couch! It was so cute & I was laughing so hard that she acted as if she had done some neat trick or something. She just cracks me up! So, both times I was the one not thinking…
Omg Monkeybun that complex you live in sounds like a zoo! Drunk people crashing into your cars, crashing into your bedroom!!! Now birds in the vent!! Ahhhh!!!
Ha yeah, thus why I want a house

Ha yeah, thus why I want a house
because having more space for buns has nothing to do with it… noooooothing at all..
Nope, not a thing… *innocent expression*
hmmmmmmm…since the week is not over and there is nothing to note I’m knocking on wood…
Knock…Knock..
Well I guess there are 3 itty bitty bruises on my arm…Bindi did not approve of me de-matting his butt fur…
I got quite a few new war wounds last night from Moose.. he did NOT want to be picked up! I picked him up to let him run around the living room for a bit, and even though he wanted out to play, he didn’t approve of me picking him up to do so. Bad bun! He’s been talking to Monkey too much me thinks.
y’all have me laughing like crazy. I read some of the stories to hubby and he got a laugh too.
he used to get upset with me on computer all the time. So now I read a few things to him and he laughs. Now he knows what I am doing on here all day.
Well the only thing this week Cotton did was partly bad was box and grunt at me. I bring the measuring scoop with his measured out food to his bowl. He jumps into the cage first and turns his head and knocks all his food out of the scoop to the floor of his house. Being a good bunny Mum I start picking up the pellets that missed the bowl. Cotton got a little fed up and grunted/boxed me.
Come to find out I only missed picking up 3 pellets.
Ruby. Well…. I think you all saw her escape video. She runs to the bedroom door with the baby gate to see what we doing in here. She is so cute running back to her area when I go to take her back. I just can’t be upset with a ball of fur that has legs.
Monkey does the same thing with her scoop of pellets, BT. SHe always shoves her little face at it and knocks em everywhere hehe. I’m learning to just take one and give it to her to keep her occupied long enough to get the rest in the bowl lol.
Otto does that with his pellets too! One time he put his front feet up on the scoop and we were locked in battle. If I pulled the scoop hard enough that his feet came off, it would probably fly up into my face. So we just sat there while I poked him and hoped he put his feet back on the floor without making a mess.
on Monday i was cleaning my room and i had a plastic bag of garbage outside of mocha’s cage and when i wasn’t looking he stuck his nose through his cage and tried to take a bight out of it but i caught him before he could. then today he stuck his nose through the cage and started peeling my wall stickers off. then lulu got a hold of some Styrofoam and started eating it. i say, bunny’s are really naughty.
I don’t think Fiver knows that grunting can be a sign of displeasure, entirely. Most of the time when I come in to clean him up we have a conversation full of grunts and head shakes. I know when he’s upset, I get smacked by flying toenails.
pinky decided to grab the pellet scoop outta my hand before i had a chance to dole out any pellets the other morning. she tossed her head back while periscoping up on her thumpers tippy toes yoinking it away from me. then she threw it in her litter. brat.
OMG
Indy has learned how to get onto my desk. Keyboard and mouse dangling on the ground. Checkbook chewed up…sigh. To top it off…you’ll love this, the shelving on my desk has 2 baskets that hold things and slide out. Wicker baskets…There are a lot of chunks missing out of them….sigh
Twix kept me up tilll 3 am last night.. and i had exams this morning!!!!
Hershey is throwing a temper tantrum because i trimmed her nails

lol, it sounds like indy is sure living up to his adventurous name.
Jacks been a pretty good boy so far. The only real thing is that the first few days i wasnt able to go to the store and buy grids or anything so i just tried to pile up stuff around the edge under my bed so he couldnt get under there and get into any trouble. But jeez hes a persistant little guy, hed find ways under there all the time. But now ive got some cage mesh around the bottom of my bed so theres no way he can get under there now.
Well, I didn’t think it was too naughty but my other bunny Dug did! We are trying to bond Rupert and Dug and we have gotten to the point where we could let both boys out and they investigate each other’s pens and there is no territorial issues at all. Still not comfortable with them together all the time though. ANYWAYS, yesterday they were out investigating each others pens and Rupert is especially happy for this time. So he’s hopping around Dugs pen, tearing phone book paper and eating Dug’s hay….and come across an old raisin box (no more inside) and tosses it a little bit. Then, as i’m watching him i see this little bunny light bulb go off and he picks up the box in his mouth and prances out of Dugs cage and into his own! HE STOLE DUG’S BOX! He hasn’t touched it or played with it since but he was so very happy with himself for stealing. I looked at him and said “Rupert! You theif! That’s stealing!” And you know what that trouble maker did?? He binkied! He was so happy!
I have family in town for the week, so I’m sleeping in my game room on an inflatable mattress that is less than a foot off the ground. Frankie is staying in there with me. Well, since I’m so close to the ground, Frankie has been getting a lot more attention and I’ve been getting more bunny love in return. This is great, except for one thing: in the middle of the night, he likes to use my head as a bunny launching pad to get to the other side of the room! He even did it to the boyfriend twice last night “without any remorse” hahaha. Scares the poop outta me when he does it while I’m asleep, but can’t deny that it is funny.
One more added from my brother who is in town right now: he and his wife went shopping today. They came back with many bags, including one with treats for his wife’s mom and a bag that had a banana and an apple in it (parents – always prepared). When they came in, they set all their bags down on the ottoman/armchair in the dining room. Less than a minute later, my brother heard Frankie-bun rustling in the bags. My brother noticed right away and yelled “Hey!” at the Frankie to try to chase him away. He succeeded, but not before Frankie snatched the bag with the banana and ran off with it in his mouth!
Oop – one more. Just caught him chewing up classic Dr. Suess books from all of our childhoods… left on the floor of my room after being read to my nephew. At least they all look like crap already… book club editions from the 60’s =x
MB I am going to try that. Give Cotton a pellet to keep him occupied til I can get the pellets in his dish. When I dole out pellets in the mornings i bring out the cleaned water bowls with fresh water first. Then come the food bowls. I put pellets in Cottons and set it down so he can eat while I go feed Ruby. Then I put his inside.
So last nite was Little Laiths first nite here. I being worn out from walking on a walking trail with hubby and carrying Laith for 1 1/2 hours. I was so exhausted.
I heard Laith thumping but I was just so exhausted I could not fully wake myself to go tend to her. Today I didnt’ over do myself so I can hopefully get up if naughty girl starts up her hind leg drum set tunes.
We were trying to pass time til we could go to masjid for prayer and food. I thought we would never get back to the truck. My leg was going numb. We came to some muddy area and had to go around it. There were 6 inch round tree branches with dead weeds on top. I stepped on one and it moved. Down I went but Laith was safe. Didn’t drop her. I was starting to get mad and scared how long b4 we got back to the truck. I had never been on that trail b4.
I had made a harness out of a rope in case something happened out there in the scrubs. Yes some scrub jays came and landed right by us and started eating. That was cool.
We also saw a wild bunny he was a dark one he darted across the trail
I put Laith down to play and she started running back the way we came lol.
well Sammy was doing the usual and adventuring around my room and decided to jump in my laundry basket,i was posting on here and dident really notice anything until i saw him nibbling into my favorite shirt, now my fave. shirt has a whole
