One of my friends with a big garden gave me a HUGE zucchini and a good sized yellow squash.  I don’t think I’ll be able to finish them both by myself.. would it be safe to share them with Zeus?

Would they be considered a ‘green’, that I can feed in decent amounts?  Or more like a carrot, feed a small amount at a time?

Well, they are considered a veggie but not a green. However, since he’s never had it, you should start small to make sure he doesn’t have a bad reaction – also to see if he’ll even eat it.

Mine have never liked squash but I’ve read all types of squash are good to give. I know pumpkin is really mild and has lots of fibre. Do introduce slowly as Sarita said I’m not good in the kitchen but I’m sure squash can be frozen-maybe you could prepare it (like take seeds and skin off) and freeze it for them to eat later if you have lots
