my bunny luggy had suffered ear infections his whole life and the treatments he had are numerous but we did notice a way of helping when it wasnt too bad there is a soap that doctors ove here use to wash here hands with to prevent infections in hospitals, its called hibiscrub, its magical stuff for the bunnies when it comes t infection i have found and ive had like 20 odd bunnies in my time and now have 2 houserabbits. The worst thing you can do is get water in a bunnies ears this can cause chills and uncomfort i suggest you try and get hold of this stuff and a bowl of luke warm water and instead of batheing you bunnies ear just dap the hibiscrub and water onto his/her ear with a cotton wool ball and then do thesame with just water to rinse, i hope ziggy all the best, is he a flop eared or pointy i must ask?

It also depends on the type of ear infection as well. Sometimes it is because the ear is too moist (like with floppy-ears dogs) and bacteria like yeast thrive in that environment and they need to be kept dry. Did the vet run a culture test? (I don’t recall)
