This morning Zeus jumped down from the futon to the floor, and landed on the tv remote. He must’ve caught his front dewclaw on the remote, as it was bleeding very slightly and he was flicking his paw and licking it. The bleeding stopped in under a minute, and was no more than a few drops of blood. He wasn’t in distress, and happily ate pineapple and chased me around the apartment no more than 5 minutes after it happened. His appetite and attitude has been totally fine. Pooping and peeing fine, no change in attitude.
My only worry is he still occasionally flicks and licks the paw around the dewclaw, and is kind of protective of the foot. ie, he is careful when jumping onto and off of things, and lays bun loaf position with the paw kinda tucked under himself, while the other front paw lays flat. Also when he goes into a digging frenzy on the carpet (normal for him

, he flicks and licks his paw after digging.
So I’m thinking the paw is a little tender, but not in actual, hardcore PAIN. His breathing’s normal, behaving totally normal, being a silly playful bunny. Eating treats and greens and hay, pooping and peeing and flopping and running around the apartment. Jumping up and climbing down off things. Should I be concerned? Anything I should watch for? I’m a worried mom!
.
Oh, I am keeping his cage and litterbox extra extra extra clean, to make sure the dewclaw doesn’t get dirty or anything.
