LittlePuffyTail – My real name is Stephanie and I’m 29 (Pisces). I live in New Brunswick and I love it here. Been here my whole life. I have 3 bunnies (Stormy, Bindi Loo and Olivia), 3 cats and 1 horse. I am engaged to my long-time bf.  My hobbies are horseback riding, embroidery/cross-stitch, reading,  BB (of course) and Bunspace and volunteering with shelter bunnies. My interests include animal rights, English History, nature and animals of all sort, spiritual stuff like dreams and meditation. I love coffee and am a vegetarian. I’m very compassionate to all humans and creatures but have very little tolerance for people with no common-sense. I’m very creative and a total dreamer. I’m happiest when I’m with my horse or snuggling my bunnies.

Greetings to everyone from down in Texas!  Great idea LPT, I haven’t been around here all too long myself so I’d love to hear whatever people have to share!  I’m 22 years old and still slaving away at this edumacation thing, hoping to pop out the other end of all this with a medical degree in a few years if all goes well. Meanwhile, my bunnies and my boyfriend of three years keep me sane and laughing when the schoolwork piles up.

Aside from the bunnies, I love to read and discovered recently that I seem to have an affinity for sci-fi TV shows.  I like to try to take fancy pictures with my dSLR camera…I’m far from great at it but still stubbornly refusing to use automatic settings, which means I take about 20 pictures for each one that turns out well, heh.  About a year ago I started to pick up rock climbing (indoor rock gyms) as a form of physical activity, as my life is otherwise terribly lacking in exercise.  It’s tricky, but I’m slowly working on it and I think I might actually have a teensy bit of muscle now!

I “have” three bunnies: Remi, Peppy, and Milo.  Peppy and Milo are a bonded pair and live with me (or I should say, they kindly allow me to exist in their domain).  I probably don’t talk about Remi as much, since he’s a technically the family pet and lives at home with my parents so I don’t see him as often, but I do represent him on the forums and post pictures every now and then.

My name is Taylor and I’m 21. I live in Pullman, Washington. I transferred schools and was previously living in Bellingham, Washington. Total opposites. This is my first semester here, although it should have been my  last semester before graduation. I’m studying Wildlife Ecology and soo excited! My bunnies are my life right now, as I don’t know anyone in this town. My boyfriend is 6 hours away from me, but he still managed to come over every 2-3 weeks. I run. Alot. I just started training for my first marathon, which is at the end of November. I’m pumped. 

I don’t like getting my picture taken either, so here is one of me getting tackled/humped by my friend’s Newfie:

Elrohwen – My real name is Laura and I’m 27 years old. I live in Connecticut and work as an engineer – previously for a major food company, but now making computer chips (surprisingly, making computer chips is a much better job!). I have two bunnies - Otto and Hannah – and no other pets, though when we buy a house we want to get a brittany puppy (haven’t had much luck on the house thing yet). I rode horses for years growing up, but can’t really afford the lessons right now. I definitely hope to get back into it some day though – I grew up riding jumpers, but in the most recent lessons I’ve had the jumps always seem so much bigger and scarier than they used to.

I like reading and typically go for Brit lit from the 1800s (Dickens, Austin, Hardy, etc). I like to watch really trashy reality tv like Jersey Shore, Real World, and Teen Mom, and spend the rest of the time watching documentaries and BBC shows (I figure they cancel each other out )

I love food, wine, and beer and consider all of them my hobbies. I love cooking, trying new food (I’ll try anything once), and visiting wineries and breweries.

I had to scour FB for pictures of me because I didn’t have any on my work computer. I hope these are good enough! One is from my birthday a few years ago when I celebrated with a friend and her dog, Daisy, at my house. It must’ve been before we got Otto (Daisy was never allowed in our house with the buns, because she has a crazy strong prey drive), so either Feb of 2009 or 2008. The second pic is from our wedding in late 2009 (should be obvious enough). Sadly, the most recent pics of me are all at parties and are candid, so I’m always making a ridiculous face

My name is Lizzie and I’m 28 and I live with my husband Stan in gorgeous Colorado.  We both grew up in N. Florida (think South Georgia…) but moved here a year and 1/2 ago and love it!  He’s my childhood sweetheart; we met when we were both three-years old and got together at 15 and 16-years old… which makes 12 years this month.  I was lucky enough to marry my best friend in the whole world!

We have two rex buns, Remy and Momo.  Remy is definitely a mini, and we were told Momo was going to be… but that ship has sailed because she is huge!  They’re both wonderful bunnies and we love them so much.

My hobbies are reading, writing fiction, making jewelry, knitting, selling crafts, taking photos (which is easy here in Colorado… everything is beautiful!), listening to music, singing, eating, drinking, watching movies and playing RPGs, lol.  I used to be a vocal major in college before I transferred to English literary analysis.  I was going to be an opera singer, but then I wrote a thesis on Jane Austen instead.  I love 19th century British satire, but also modern day science fiction/fantasy and biographies.  I get very humiiliated when I make grammar mistakes, but I could trip on a sidewalk and just laugh at myself with no embarrassment. 

I am of Scotch/Irish/English descent, which probably explains why I’ve never held a tan in my life, but I’m not a sun worshipper anyways so I don’t mind.  

I love bunnies and dogs and all creatures great and small, with a few exceptions.  I find opossums and armadillos to be rather disgusting.  This could have something to do with growing up in Florida.  I do, however, find baby alligators to be rather cute, as long as they stay in the water where they belong.  Snakes and rats don’t scare me, but roaches do… *very* much.  There are no roaches in Colorado.  This is a huge improvement

I’m not big into crowds, but prefer small gatherings of friends where we can eat, drink good wine, and talk until the wee hours.

I love to listen to thunderstorms, and I’m very hot natured, so when it’s 20 degrees F outside I often have the windows open to watch the snow.  This is one of the reasons why we left Florida.  Too hot!

And I LOVE cheese.  Excessively.

 Great thread LPT!!!  Everyone’s pics and bios have been great so far!  

 

My name is Beka, hence the Beka27.  I am actually 27 right now (it’s that rare time that my random screen name number matches my age), but I’ll be 28 in July.  I’ve been married for 8 years, we have a 7-year-old son.  I am very close with my family and friends, they are few in number, but they are dear to my heart.  

I work at a crappy retail job, but I’ve been in college since my son was a couple years old.  I am technically a student for… ONE MORE WEEK!  I am graduating with an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene on May 19th.  

I love picnics, especially ones that allow for kicking back with (several) beers.  I love to travel, I just wish I could do it more!  I am a liberal to my core, particularly when it has to do with human and animal rights, but I think I do a good job of not stepping on toes and respecting others’ opinions.  I am kind of a nerd, I love to read, I love music (Grateful Dead, Dylan, Janis, Lennon, CSNY… and other old stuff from “before-my-time”), I love baseball in good times and bad, altho it helps immensely when our Tribe is in FIRST!

I have my two amazing baby bunnies, Meadow (about 4) and Max (about 6 or 7).  We want a dog so, so bad, but it’s not possible where we live now.  Some days I feel like there’s nothing going on in my life, other days it feels like I’m so busy I cannot breathe!  But, I always make time for BB!  I’ve been a Forum Leader on BB for awhile… I think I joined as a member around September 2007 (we got Meadow in July that year), and I was asked to be a FL maybe 6 months later.   I’ve been here ever since.  I have had the privilege of getting to “virtually” know so many fantastic people and share in their experiences with their rabbits.  I learn new info all the time, and I love being able to help others.  I have welcomed new bunnies, and I have cried when reading about the loss of buns I had become well-acquainted with.  This site is not my first experience as a forum moderator, but the feeling of community here is unrivaled.

My real name is Brittney and I’m fixing to turn 33. I have been married almost 10 years to my husband Scotty and have a beautiful and sweet daughter named Alivia who is 7 years old. I’m pretty much a home body and love being here more than anything. I love being with my family and animals. I’m blessed to now be a stay at home mom for my daughter and animals so I get to spend lots of time with them all.

I have 1 rabbit(Gabby), 4 guinea pigs, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 4 pet mice, 1 fish, and of course my feathered kids-29 birds. I have a zoo here but wouldn’t have it any other way.

let’s see.  i’m nikki.  i’m older than i look, but not as old as i sometimes feel.  i’m a stay at home mom to a three year old silly little goose.  before i had her, the critters were my life.  now, they have to share me!  my husband is in the air force, so we move a lot.  we just moved to oklahoma after three years in alaska, where my daughter was born.  we loved it there, and hate it here!  when my husband retires in a few years, we’re hoping to move back up there.  i knit, mostly for goose and family, but also for sale.  when time permits, i take custom orders.  i’m an avid reader and animal fanatic.  after my husband retires, i plan to show great danes.  i dabble in photography, but i honestly have no real idea what i’m doing at this point!  i use to do lots of rescue and foster work, but it’s a lot harder with goose.  i still end up raising at least one litter of orphans a year.  when goose is old enough to be more of a real help, and not just an “in the way” type help, we’ll open our home to those in need again.

i don’t have many pics of the rattiebutts, since they are seldom still long enough for me to get a decent shot!  here’s one of lock investigating while goose plays playdough.  we have four rats- lock, shock, and barrel, and a little hairless girl names whisp.  one of goose’s favorite past times is to build them “houses” with her blocks so they can knock them over.

My name is Casey. I’m 25 and live with my boyfriend of the same age, Greg, in OK. We met at work and became best friends, started dating and moved in together and then Huckleberry came into out lives! She made our little home complete. We both love her very much. My friends tease that for every 10 pictures I have of Huckles, I have 1 of Greg (we have been together for 2 years and might have 5 pictures together total but I have endless albums of her lol) 

I am a professional student, that is to say, I have been in college, on and off,  bouncing between degrees since 2004. I am now a junior in the Studio Art program at OSU and am working on a teaching certificate as well… my mom asks when the heck I am going to be done with school, I tell her when my little sister (age 7) graduates with her doctorate, I will graduate 4 years after her! Greg is going back to school in the fall for Mechanical Engineering. 

I love Moscato and Jewish wine! I live for the weekends when Greg and I grill a steak, drink a few beers and talk about politics.. physics..Huckleberry or the stupid people I work with. If I could afford it, I would eat Chinese food all day every day! MMMmm pork wontons…. 

I love Harry Potter, The Simpsons, Dr Who, walking around the lake (or rather, small man made ditch filled with muddy water), painting, photography, and building sculptures. Sculpture is my focus, as an artist in training. 

Huckleberry is a 13 lb, 1 yr old, steel (black with silver tips on the fur, except her head and paws which solid black), part Flemish Giant (we think). She came from a farm feed store and was the tiniest one in a large barrel of lazy white/red eyed buns. I dont think she came from any of the litters that they were supplied with, she didnt look like any of the others nor was she even close to their age/size. She was playing king of the hill, sitting on a brick and keeping all the others off of it. She was covered in mud! Greg picked her out, saying she was feisty! We thought she was a boy at the time and named her Huckleberry Finn, believing she would have crazy misadventures around our home. When we took her to get fixed we found out she was a girl (yeah, im slow haha). She is a wonderful big bunny. Very opinionated, independent and goofy. She loves her daddy the most I think. She likes to “help” him when he works on his motorcycle by tossing his tools around.

Hi, I’m Lindsey!  I am 24 years old and live in California. I’m a French horn Music Major with an emphisis on Music Education but I don’t think I am going to go through with the teaching credential, I am a bit put off about how band directors are treated in school districts. I currently work part time at Starbucks while in school. The only good thing about working at a drive thru store is getting to wear a headset and pretending your a famous singer! Haha jk.  I am really into marching band and drumcorps, so if I did end up teaching I would want to have a highschool gig and in the summer teach a drum corps. I marched in the Concord Blue Devils before I aged out at 21. I mainly play the French Horn, but for marching I play the mellophone and I took up the cello when I was 17.  I really love setting up and maintaining aquariums. I just set up my boyfriend a 50 gallon african cichlid tank and he LOVES it! I have a 50 gallon with an albino tiger oscar in it. We have cats, dogs, a horse, snake, parrot, fish, guinea pigs, and 6 bunnies. So basically I am a music nerd who loves animals, especially rabbits and fish.

My favorites over the last 28 years (oh geez) have been Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, Zelda: Link to the Past, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Diablo, Diablo II, The Elder Scrolls III (Morrowind), The Elder Scrolls IV (Oblivion), World of Warcraft, Fable, Fable II, Fallout III, Bioshock, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II…

I imagine Skyrim and Diablo III will be added to this list before too long ; )

This is fun! My name is Lauren.  I am 24 and currently finishing up an MA in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures with a focus on Turkish and modern political and social issues in the Middle East and I will be heading off the law school at the university of illinois this fall and I’m quite thrilled about all of that!  My boyfriend of three years and I moved to Indiana for our MA programs and he’ll stay here for a PhD while I get my law degree.  In my free time I watch and read science fiction, listen to music (especially jazz, blues, and rock. My great loves are Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Bessie Smith and Nina Simone), watch old movies, especially spencer tracy and/or katharine hepburn movies, hence my bunnies’ names, and I occassionally play the piano. I adopted by bunnies, Kate and Spence around thanksgiving 2010 and they are both turning two years old about now. My boyfriend has a tortoise named Hajji Bektash.

well, hi! I’m Angie, and I’m also in the Bay Area. 23 years old now, I was born and raised in Berkeley, went to college in SF, now I’m residing in Oakland. I’m an only kid so I’ve always been close to my parents. they immigrated from south korea, and have always run their own business. first it was a fine dine restaurant, then a french bakery, and now we own a wholesale bakery [sconehenge. shameless plug if you live in the bay area, check our products out. they’re AMAZING], and we also have a little diner in Berkeley. so, I’ve been working since I was 11 years old lol. I like to think I’m pretty mature and responsible because of this. as of now, I am just working full-time to help the parents and keep myself busy [and pay my bills haha]. people think that because I’m an only child I get spoiled, but I get paid the same wage anyone else would at the restaurant, and I haven’t asked my parents for spending money since my freshman year of high school. I’ve been told that I’m a dude trapped in a girl’s body; I LOVE video games [if you have a ps3 and black ops, please add me. hellaSCONED]. my favorite movies all include violence, gangsters, action, etc lol. I absolutely hate petty drama and stay away from it as much as I can, and I feel super uncomfortable in dresses and skirts. I have a horrible potty mouth that I keep in check when I’m on this site =P I have four tattoos, and I’m itching to get more but my mother told me she would kill herself if I got anymore.. and I don’t really want to call her bs on that lol.

I recently had a mini quarter-life crisis because I got rejected from all the grad schools I applied to, but things are looking up because I just secured an awesome position at an established nonprofit in Oakland. I’ll be working with the social services department and helping recent immigrants with their medicare, document translation, and planning a public health fair that will take place in the summer. I’m super excited because it’s exactly what I wanted to do with my life and major [Asian American Studies]. In the long run I would like to become a teacher. Yes, I’m one of those weird bay area wants-to-save-the-world types. lol.

I LOVE food, probably because I grew up around it, and I will try anything at least once. I cook most of my food and love trying new recipes from all over the world. I also love travelling:

my boyfriend and I took a trip to Peru this past summer and it was insane. I highly recommend it! I also visit Korea every summer to see family. my goal is to have my passport completely filled with stamps. speaking of boyfriend…

there we are. this picture is actually a pretty good summary of our relationship lol. before this, I was in a horrible long term relationship and actually almost married the guy. thankfully I didn’t, and I swore off relationships for about two years. Paul and I met through a mutual friend, and we were seriously just friends for a year. one day I guess we just sort of noticed eachother or noticed how close we were and how well we got along, and started dating haha. we’ve been dating for 3 years now and he is pretty much the polar opposite of my ex: he’s a total goofball, completely understands and trusts me, gives me my space when I need it, and does NOT talk about marriage or moving in together, or anything like that. despite all the goofiness, he still takes amazing care of me and I honestly don’t know what I would do without this guy.  we have tons of fun together and he’s the best thing that’s happened to me, aside from the buns and of course, here they are!

I’m Jaime, I’m 25 (26 next month, yikes!), I’m a stay at home mom to 2 girls, ages 2 and 3. I go to school a couple days a week for photography, I’m also planning my wedding, we’ve been engaged for over a year and a half and it’s finally happening this June! (I know I’ve said my “husband” in a couple posts, it’s easier than explaining that we have kids and live together but aren’t married yet LOL. I hate the word fiance…). Anyway, I love creating things, I try a lot of things a little, knitting is not my thing (Mossling GORGEOUS sweater!!!), but I love painting and drawing. Woah, I never knew a forum of such beautiful ladies existed!!

Well. I’m Emmie. My name is also Emmie! I’m 23, live in Dublin, Ireland with my new baby bunny – Zelda. I live in a gorgeous one bedroom apartment which I own and live in allll by myself! When I lived with an ex boyfriend, we rented an apartment. One day we went to a pet store and I saw this stunning black baby rabbit that I wanted so bad. I had named him Theodore already and everything, but my landlord refused to let us have one. Instead he bought me a giant rabbit teddy bear that I love.

When I moved into my apartment, I originally rescued a cat from an animal shelter named Tali Zoorah Vas EmzGaff. She had been abandoned and had seperation issues. As I was away all day, I had to give her up for adoption, it wasn’t fair. Then almost four weeks ago, Zelda came into my life. I had no idea how much personalty these little fuzz balls have!

Anyways! I’m currently working an the financial sector. Been off work for the last few weeks with a back injury. I also study computing part-time. I’m a massive xbox nerd, which Zelda disapproves of the odd time! My love interest lives across the atlantic ocean in South Carolina BUT is coming to see me in *just* over two weeks… I cannot convey my excitement!

I’m also a pole dancer/alternative performer with a performance troupe called [EDITED]. I’m also a massive advocate for body modification. I’m heavily tattoo’d and have rather large stretched ears which attract much unwanted attention. But my baby bunny loves me!

OK, you guys, even though people say I look like a teenager  ( @ LoveChaCha) I am really 53.  Sammykins is my second bunny, my first was Spockie, who was a male mini rex that I had for 8 years. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge in Dec. 2007. In Jan, 2008 I found Binky Bunny, and about a year later – after I got Sammy – I was invited to become a Forum Leader. I consider my main contribution to the board is providing the comic relief. I also had a lot of experience with having my life involved with a bunny for many years, which is the minimum life span you can expect with your pet. So, I had a lot of stories to tell that either was good advice I had received along the way, or advice that became “don’t make this same mistake I made”. Spockie moved with me several times, the biggest change being from Massachusetts to Florida by car in 2004. Now Sammy is learning the joys of relocating our home. But it’s wonderful to have a constant bunny companion when everything else in your life seems to change.

Which brings me to myself. I WAS what could best be described as an assistant Curator for the past 12 years or so, starting with the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA, and ending last month with the little museum in Florida that just laid me off  to cut their budget. Pfffffttttt!!!!!

I moved out of my apartment into a temp. house that a relative owns that was vacant. It’s sold, but won’t be occupied until next Feb. so she’s letting me use it to get back on my feet until then. My parents and brother/sis-in-law live 4 miles down the road, so it’s a good change of location.

Before doing all things museum exhibition related, I got my BA as an Art major, with an interest in illustration art and commercial art more than Fine Art, and always have been a writer, liked editing, loved photography, performed in theatre throughout school and college (summer stock) and loved dancing and dance. Basically, if it’s the arts, including TV and movies, I like it. I’m a morning person with traditional 9-5 mainstream lifestyle habits and non-traditional skills and talents. Go figure. (And also a Liberal, Beka, LOL)

I am still single (how many straight men work in the Arts? No need to take off my socks to keep counting….) and while there are guys in Florida, they tend to be older and wrinkly. So, I was serious in the past, but didn’t quite make that walk down the aisle.  My particular generation tended to live together and have kids without bothering to get married, or got divorced 20 minutes later. C’est la vie. I am very comfortable living by myself.

I got a chance to really do some fun and interesting graphic design work on this last job by creating the brochures, text panels, and other collateral material for over 15 exhibitions. I’m really organized, and an exhibition takes a lot of multi-tasking over many months. In the past I have done the cover illustrations for a Young Adult book author I’ve known, and I have clocked many hours in retail while trying to find arts related jobs. Right now I think I am headed out of the museum, non-profit world and into a way to use my graphic design/photography/writing/editing/research/management grab bag of skills in a more lucrative job. I hope. I have always been the computer savvy person on the staff, bailing out bosses and coworkers, teaching myself software programs because it’s fun to try new ones. Right now I am very proficient with Photoshop and QuarkXPress, and will be practicing more on InDesign in the next several months. I am working on my own website, so freelancing long distance via the internet is a real possibility. Email me privately through the Message Center if you want to chat. Hello, my name is Laura, I’m 28 years old and live and work animals. I work in the dog care industry. My work does it all and I live in a 5000sq foot house owned by my work, I board dogs for my work in lieu of rent. It is great! I have many pets myself. I have 2 very large dogs, a english mastiff and a great dane, I also have 2 cats, an orange tabby and a seal point siamese, as well as 2 horses, a thoroughbred, whom i litterally saved his life and a appaloosa whom i bought from a neglectful home, i love her but hate her at the same time. she tries to kill me almost often but she is great. and i have now 3 buns, ginju my mini rex, atticus you know a flemmie new zeland cross and now badger a pure flemmie. i love food…its a wonder im not 400lbs! i have been involved with the same man for over 4 years even though things arent looking too good right now. but that is waaaay too much to explain on here. lol i come from a big family (i am one of 6 kids) i live alone in the basement of the house, in june i will have the entire house when the previous resident moves out, i know it sounds bad but oh i cant wait!!!! by that time ginju and badger will be fixed and let the bonding begin. lol

i love to play baseball, starting may 10th is my first game and looove to ride horses, not so much mine. she is bad and my gelding is in training now to be broke. i ride for fun but my gelding once broke will be shown. i live a simply life. i go see my horses everynite 7 days a week. my mare got very badly injuried jan.2nd and we werent sure what the out come of that would have been and were hoping she would pull thru and she has amazingly so we are all very proud of her!

 Oooh, this is fun!  My name is Rhea (pronounced Ree-uh).  I’ll be 21 tomorrow, and I’m a junior in college.  I’m from Wisconsin, but right now I’m going to school in Massachusetts, just outside of Boston, and I’m planning to stay here for a few years after graduating.  I’m a psychology major (concentrating on youth development) and an education minor.  I’m working on getting certified to teach middle school science in MA.  Urban education is my passion (well, one of them!).  Before I was a psych major, I was just about every major you can think of.  I went from English to Astrophysics to Studio Art to American Studies… it was a very long list, and a very stressful time!  My bunnies and I live in a cozy dorm room, and I’m very happy that my only roommates are rabbits!  I love having my own space.

In my free time, I volunteer a lot- I work at a high school in a very rough neighborhood, I teach SAT and college-prep classes to low-income kids though a program with my college, and I spend my summers running a science program for kids around Boston.  I love doing art- drawing, painting, sculpting, mosaics, etc., but it’s really hard to find time unless I’m taking an art class, because go to a pretty intense school.  I always drew horses, and nothing else, but now that I have Bailey and Logan, I’m trying to draw them, too  

I also spend a lot of time with my boyfriend, who graduated last year and is working in Boston.  He loves the bunnies, especially Bailey.  He really loves feeding them.  They get to take a trip to his apartment once or twice a month.  He has a great area for them to play, and he keeps an extra cage and supplies for them in a spare room.  

At home, I have a miniature horse (rescued) named Kandy, a pony named Skip, two cats (Marsha and Eclipse, aka Eygore) and two guinea pigs (Karma and Yajambahe, aka Baby).  I’m the only horse lover in my family, so my horses are both on long-term leases in loving homes with my mentors, but all the other animals are family pets.  I was an avid equestrian until I got Bailey.  I really missed my horses when I left for college, but Bailey has really helped me move on- I needed to have an animal in my life!  Of course, I still visit my horses every time I go home, but it’s not so painful when I’m away from them anymore, and I’m no longer taking riding lessons (my bank account is very thankful for that!).  

This is me and Kandy, my best friend of 9 years.  She’ll be 11 tomorrow!  I got her as a wild and crazy 2 year old, and after lots of TLC, my sister and I trained her using natural horsemanship methods and she quickly became our beloved family pet and show horse.  Kandy was a WI state champion driving horse- I’m really proud of this, since it was always my dream

This is my boyfriend, helping me put up my first exhibit for my advanced drawing class.  The drawings are all on a single roll of paper, and they’re exactly the same size as Kandy.  This was definitely a healing process, and it helped me feel closer to Kandy, even though I’m 1,200 miles away from her.  I have to admit- I was drawn to Bailey because she’s black and white, just like Kandy and Skip (haha, I was trying to keep a color theme going, until I fell in love with Logan).

It was Adam but once i saved him i had to change his name…new life needed a new name! he is a great horse but is taking a long time to break, he is just sooo afraid because of what those monsters had done to him but he has come ALONG way!! i love him sooo very much and he is an amazing young boy!! my trainer just loves him!!!!

elrohwen>> i plan on just trail riding him and putting him in low level schooling shows but a good friend of mine wants to show him hunter/jumper. he is being broke western just because it is easier to hold on in a western saddle but he has had both kinds of saddles on him, he looks much more impressive in an english, makes him look bigger, he is currently standing at 17.2 and everyone seems to think he is still growing….he is turning 4 this month. (when i got him he was severely beaten and abused as well as starved and because of that and now he is getting all he wants to eat he just grew like a weed. i got him at 16.3 last may and he was last measured december standing at 17.2….he went from 16.3 to 17.2 in 7 months) he will in the end be broke for both english and western as is my mare.

i can ride english and first learned english but i am mostly a western rider who rides english for a change. lol i usually ride my mare western, she looks better western (she is 16hh) but have started riding her english with a de gogue martingale on her to help get her head down.

Well, my name is Jane and I’m uhhh, 34! I am a single mom of a 9 year old. Her name is Deja and she’s the love of my life.  I never thought of having a bunny until about 4 months ago.  I thought it would be good for us to have a pet, so we decided to get Sugarbear. He was so adorable and sweet and we just loved him so much we decided to get another one! ha! Now we have two! Sugarbear and Pepper.  They are both Nethie’s and 4 months old. They are only 2 days apart! I guess now, I can say I’m a single mom to 3 kids!  

I was born in Hong Kong and came here when I was 2. I was raised in San Francisco and now I live in the East Bay. It is pretty neat that a few of us on this thread are from the Bay Area!  I visited Hong Kong about 10 years ago (when I was pregnant with Deja) and didn’t enjoy the visit too much.  Too many people and everyone moves sooo fast! I’m used to being here and people being more laid back I guess. I  I have two older sisters and my family is really close. My dad passed away when I was only 13 so it was pretty hard on my mom to raise us. We all started working at a young age to help her. Anyway, we live in the same condo complex and she comes over almost daily to play with Sugar and Pepper. She loves them so much, I almost thought about getting her her own bunny!  

It never seems like we have enough time in the day to do all the things we enjoy doing. But when I do have time, I do love to go shopping with my daughter, eating, park, movies…and just relaxing at home with the buns…

I work at a refinery, been working at the same place for about 8 years now! In fact, I better go to sleep soon since my day starts at 5am!

~*Ginju*Atticus*Badger*~: how tall is your gelding? He’s effing gorgeous!!!

 

Well I’m still new here, but I though I’d re-introduce myself.

My name is Crystal and I’m turning 21 in June I live In Northern BC, Canada. Right now I’m just doing my pre-reqs for Animal Health Technology, slowlyy… It feels like it’s taking forever, but at least I am able to work more this way. I work at a vet office as a Ward Attendent, but I’m basically an Assistant without the pay I’m being taught how to do injections and getting to be the tech in the occaisional surgery. It’s super exciting… for me anyway I also volunteer at an equine rescue that specializes in rehabilitation. Going there is my favourite part of the day We get lots of sad cases, but once they have started to trust you it can’t help but break your heart! I think my favourite case may be Buffy. She is a mare who got an eye infection and the owners never treated it and she eventually went blind at 5. They left her to roam on 160 acres of bush for another 5 years. They eventually surrendered her when she got a very large puncture wound in her chest that wasn’t healing. It took about 3 months for the wound to heal. In the end though she is completely broke to ride, not any faster than a trot, but she is fine even in traffic. She steps up on command and if you see her in her pen about to run into something, you just tell her to “stop” and she then slowly moves forward moving her head (almost like a blind persons cane) until she feels it then she goes around it. When you are leading her she puts her nose on your shoulder blade and follows you that way In the end I guess my only hobby is animals haha, but when I get the chance I love hiking, camping, and swimming.

My name is Rachel. I’m 24 and live in sunny San Diego, California.  I grew up in Texas, but have been here already almost 9 years. I am currently unemployed after resigning from my job at GameStop, where I had worked since 2004! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing that I need to put to good use, as I’m just kind of sitting on it right now. 

Let’s see… I’m a bit quirky, sarcastic, and silly as hell. I don’t take many things in life seriously when I don’t have to. I have a bit of a dirty mouth and am kind of weird, but I am not ashamed of it. I love the person that I am and wouldn’t change for anyone!

I’m kind of a homebody and love to kick back and watch movies, but when I am out, I like to be in random places with interesting people. I like to dress up and can be found at random goth/alternative clubs and events around the city. It sounds a little strange, but it’s a very neat, accepting community. 

Frankie is my first and only rabbit in my life, but he is my world. He is a neutered 4.5 year-old harlequin mix with one “uppy” ear and one lop ear and a crap ton of personality! I love him more than pie!

I haven’t done anything big lately, since I’m not taking an art class right now, but hopefully this summer I’ll get back into things. I really want to make a bunny mosaic, and do some watercolors of Bailey and Logan. Thanks Ginju! I haven’t done commissions since, let’s see… high school! I always thought that would be a perfect part-time thing for me (especially when I was an art major, haha), but lately I’ve been so busy with school that I’m lucky if I sketch something once a week Btw- Sparton is GORGEOUS! My name is Jesica and I’m 23, living in Virginia Beach. Lani is a Hawaiian nickname that I’ve had since I was a baby, it means “heaven.” My mom’s side of the family is from Hawai’i but thanks to the military, I grew up in San Diego, CA and also spent some time in GA. Most people would not think that I have Hawaiian/Pacific Islander blood in me because I look so much like my father, who was from Alabama. But all of my mom’s side is Hawaiian/Filipino/Chinese blood. I do get to go back to Hawai’i to visit the family and I have to say, I feel so much more at home there than anywhere else. I currently live with my mom, it’s just her and I here. She’s my best friend and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I have my Bachelor’s in Political Science and have a job that I absolutely love. It is politics though so I won’t get into that here. I’m also a huge sports nut, a die hard Chargers and Capitals fan especially. I have a boyfriend of 3 years moved to Texas after we graduated from college to take a job out there and I miss him like crazy. We’re hoping that a job will open up out here so he can move back. He got to meet Oreo for the first time last week and absolutely fell in love with her! He was the first boy she had met and she seemed to *really* enjoy having a guy to boss around It was hilarious!

Oreo is the first rabbit I’ve had on my own. Growing up, my family had two rabbits, a bonded pair, a chihuahua and a bird. They have all since passed and Oreo is my first pet since them.

This is Sox, the male of our bonded pair, and Ginger, our chihuahua. They loved to play together and here they are sharing the dog bed. Ok well maybe sharing is a bit much. Sox was bigger than Ginger and probably didn’t give her a choice when he jumped in the bed. But they truly did love to run around the house together, it always looked like they were playing tag. thank you everyone! Sparton is my baby and my pride and joy!! He has come along way and the things they did to him would make anyone cry.

When those pics were taken, i believe he was standing at about 17hh, he is now standing at 17.2hh and everyone tseems to think he isnt done yet….oh, but i do hope so!! lol i got him at 16.3 and he wasnt suppossed to grow but its amazing what love and mountains and mountains of food with do to a growing, starving to death young man…well, as you can….it did him wonders! he is heavier now then in those pics. he is still thin but anyone that knows tb’s, they are that kind of horse…very hard to gain and espcially keep weight on.

JC317 : My real name is Jenna. I am 23 (almost 24) and I too often get mistaken for a teenager! It annoys me but I figure in 10 years I will appreciate it I majored in social work and graduated from college in Minnesota in 2009. I currently work for Child Protective Services on the Oregon coast. I had to move back to Oregon after living in the midwest….way too darn cold! I like my job most days because I feel like I get to help people. I don’t like that it is so stressful sometimes but that just comes with the territory. I also adore animals and the only reason I didn’t go into animal protection is because they don’t let you just bring children home! Haha, I’d have a zoo if I did this job with animals! I am absolutely dying to get a dog (a giant one like a St. Bernard or a Newfie or a Great Pyreneese or some random mix of any of the above). I WILL get one someday but I want to make sure I’m settled first since they are hard to move with. However, luckily I couldn’t get one right away because that is how I ended up with bunnies! I am allergic to cats, was dying for a pet, and did some research and wala! Then of course I needed another one once I had one…I also love theatre and was a total drama nerd in high school and I still am at heart. If I ever have time, I’d love to get back involved in community theatre. What else? Love to try and cook (key word try), love to read, love my Greys Anatomy, love my buns They made the move with me all the way from MN to OR!

I haven’t gotten to introduce pineapple yet, though I really want to try it. She’s been fairly pick about her treats…ok who am I kidding she’s picky about her hay and veggies so why not the treats too! She didn’t like raisins or craisins or strawberry. So far the only treats she’ll go for are the oxbow banana chips and *maybe* carrot if she’s feeling adventurous.  Did you give ChaCha fresh pineapple? Or canned? I’d imagine the sugar in canned pineapple would be a lot higher? I also want to try dried papaya and see if she likes that.

My buns LOVE both fresh and canned pineapple (I only give them the kind in pineapple juice) and they get dried papaya as a regular treat. I buy Sunseed brand at the pet store. My buns would make out pretty well in Hawaii me thinks!

My buns love dried papaya too! I try to get the ones without sugar, but sometimes it’s hard to find. It comes in big chunks and I have to cut it up – lately I’ve been too lazy to do it and have been feeding craisins (I already had a huge bag I bought for baking). I think they prefer the craisins, but I tell them to live it up because we’re going back to papaya soon. Haha.

Jenna, sounds like you got buns for the same reason I did! Very cool. And you know I love Comet (aka Otto’s doppelganger). When we were looking for a second DH really wanted to find one that looked just like Chubs.

I’m 39.  I’m an artist, but also work in retail since it pays much better than being an artist does.  I’ve lived in NJ most of my life.  I have had tons of pets over the years.  I’ve been an ethical vegetarian for over two decades.

I have a husband and a 5 yo son.

It was my sons obsession with bunnies that really inspired us to get Porky.  he has this stuffed rabbit puppet that is his lovey (aka transitional object.)

We also have a pair of red eared slider turtles, Fred and Barney (after we named them, it turned out Fred was a girl.  If you thing bunies are hard to sex, try turtles.)  They are really mine and not a family pet though.  I’ve had them since before I met my husband.  Unfortunately, all their photos are on a different computer that Porky bit through the cable that connected it to it’s monitor, so I can’t upload them.

There aren’t a lot of pictures of me either, since I’m usually the one with the camera, but I’ve got a few.  the first is me with my husband about 7 or 8 years ago, the second is my sons first halloween, the third is just my feet with Porky.

LoveChaCha, apple is a big no no for Oreo too. She loves them but when she was at the SPCA she was fed basically only apples and she came home with horrible mushy poop. We tried a teeny bit of apple after we got her diet straight and it made them mushy again. So no apples for her

I’m surprised, so far the only thing Porky has turned his nose up at is nori (sheets of seaweed.) When I was last involved with bunnies 20+ years ago, it was believed that fresh foods were bad for bunnies, and we only very very rarely gave a small amount of carrot as a special treat. Not surprisingly, none of those bunnies were ever fussy.

It is pretty high in minerals, so you only want to give your bunny a very little bit. Somewhere on this board, there is a link to a vet saying how much is OK to give. I searched the board for “nori” before I let my son share his sheet of nori with Porky.

This is of me and my best friend when we were 4 or 5 . I am on the right.    We are still best friends today 40 years later!

Alaska has some beautiful places, but where I grew up, it was dark and cold in the winters.  As soon as I turned 18, I hit the road. I tagged along with one of my best friend’s family when they moved to Arizona.  She and I rode in the back of the truck the whole way there!  (it was covered).

But lets just say….that was one long ride!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I played around in Arizona for a few years and then moved to California and decided to get serious.  I graduated with a broadcasting degree and  worked as a TV Producer for 12 years.

This is the little guy that started my bunny obsession

After many years of producing, I was getting really burnt out. During this time is when I got my first bunny, Forrest.  He really was a stress reliever, and from that point on I was hooked. I read all I could, volunteered for years, attended  HRS classes, etc etc to learn all I could.  Just something I really enjoyed. 

I did find it difficult, at the time,  to find a fun, yet educational site along with a welcoming forum.  So I decided, as a side hobby, to start BinkyBunny.  It grew very fast, more than I could have ever imagined, and now it’s what keeps me very busy all the time.  I was more than happy to let my stressful career go as BinkyBunny grew.    I am so proud of this community and how everyone has really connected and helps each other out.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Outside of BinkyBunny, the things I enjoy are hiking and biking (I used to like skiing but I need to get back in shape for that and I can’t go mountain biking anymore down steep hills like I did in my 20’s – After a billion injuries I realized I’m way too accident prone!!). So I will still mountain bike, but I stick with “easy”.

I have a small group of good solid friends. Some I have known from very early on, while others I connected with along the way. 

I am also grateful for some of the unique virtual friendships that have developed over time, and I do hope one day we’ll be able to meet face to face!  I also love video games (used to play on PC’s until I we got the xbox). I haven’t had much time though this year to play, but watch out because 40 year olds can bring it! We’ll all have to one day set up a time for BinkyBunny members to play live (we have xbox360). 

 

Oh, and I am starting to learn how to cook.  Never much cared for it before, but for some reason, I’m taking a liking to it now. I enjoy cooking Indian dishes especially (hard to screw those up with so many great flavors) and my sister-in-law, who is Taiwanese makes some great dishes that I will soon be getting the recipes for. 

 

 

 

 

 

I am an outgoing person, but I need a good dose of “me” time to rejuvenate. I enjoy laughing and spending time with friends, and engaging  and joking with people pretty much anywhere i go, but I also need alone time on a regular basis.

Wow, this is an awesome thread!

My name is Molly, and I am 23 years old. I live in Iowa with my three birds and my rabbit, and am currently in my first year of my MS in Ecology, studying the effects of wind turbine farms. I was a pre-vet student in my undergrad, but decided I liked population ecology more than anatomy, so I ended up here!  I love being outside, hiking and gardening, so I would love to move west after I’m done with my master’s (not much recreational spaces in Iowa where 99% of the land is privately owned!).

I am a huge animal lover, and as mentioned I have 3 birds and a rabbit. I would love a dog, but my lifestyle doesn’t really seem right for one right now as I spend 12-14 hours a day at my office some days!

 

First: Riley, my 4-year-old netherland dwarf mix, neutered male. I walked into a pet store 4 years ago, and fell in love, and he’s been with me ever since. He used to be a little devil, destroying everything in his path, but he has finally calmed down and enjoys a lot more freedom in my apartment now! My friends are all in love with him, and if he isn’t already out they let him out as soon as they come over! Here he is sunning a couple of weeks ago as spring finally made it to Iowa!

Sweety was my first bird, a now 6-year-old lutino female cockatiel. I have had her since high school, and she is a the queen of my house. She loves attention. I almost lost her to a severe respiratory illness in November, but $1000 later and 6 weeks of daily antibiotic shots, nasal cleaning, and many trips to the vet where I thought I would have to put her to sleep, she is finally fully recovered, though the experience has made me constantly worried about all my babies! 

Sweety shares a cage with 10-year-old Zasu, who I adopted 2 years ago from a family who could no longer care for her. Zas continues to come out of her shell more and more every day.

Lily is my 14-year-old Meyers Parrot. She is also an adoptee from a family who could no longer care for her, and has lived with me for the past 3 years. She is the perfect parrot, quiet and agreeable and loves to love and be loved.

I have played around with the idea of getting a second rabbit for years, but me and Riley are so happy that I’ve decided not to rock the boat. He gets to enjoy lots of play time running around my apartment, and I’d hate for that to ever change!

 My name is Sonn, and I am 26 years old. I currently live in Kentucky in a very small town. I live with my four dogs, two rabbits, three ferrets, bearded dragon, leopard gecko, blue tongue skink, turtles, tortoise and my tiny fish tank. I have recently decided to go back to school haven’t decided what for just yet but anything is better than what I do now. 

 I am planning a big move in hopefully the next year I am not a small town girl at all and it drives me mad to never see another person without driving an hour. I love to read and I write almost constantly if there is not a book or a pen and paper (I do not write on the computer) in my hands I feel naked. 

 I love being active with my dogs there is a rare moment when we are not doing something outside their favorite thing is hiking. Two can keep up with me pretty well while the other two tend to hang back after a few miles. 

 I am not married, dating and I have no children so it is pretty much me and the animals lol.

Everyone on here has such nice pictures!  I’m Megan and I’m from Ohio.  I’m 26 years old (I seriously forgot how old I was for a second…old age coming fast already haha!)  But everyone thinks I’m younger, like 16.  I’ve been happily married for 3 years now.  I was working as a receptionist for an insurance agency but it was most for the winter since the one agent was working from FL so I haven’t been working since April.  But it’s ok, I’m enjoying my time as a housewife.

I love to scrap book and my new passion is searching for an relatives on Ancestry.com.  I never thought I’d spend so much time in a library   I’m trying to get into my crafty side and learn crocett or something…it might take me awhile, I haven’t had the patience to sit down and really try my hand at it.  

We are currently fostering Sterling but I find it very hard to do as I’m getting attached to him but I know we can’t keep him.  We also have our 3 bunnies; Archie, Gracie & Sandy.  Each very unique in their own way.

After reading/looking through all of these posts I am now telling all of my friends that if they’re looking for a cute, caring woman, get a bunny!

So my real name is actually Markus – and I’m turning 44 this Sunday.  I have had so many different type of jobs I like to say the only things I haen’t done is castrate a tiger and punch a shark.   I’m someone who likes to go find what captivates my attention now and try to get a job at it.  Currently I’m looking at buying a campsite and becoming the groundskeeper and setting up the camp for artists and theatrical performances.

I live in the Berkeley/San Francisco area.  I like sleeping.  My favorite food is anything that isn’t an internal organ.  I’ve actually just decided to start eating right again so I’ve been without soda nor fast food for 5 days and I’m so light headed.  My most passionate feeling is that people don’t take enough personal responsibility for things and feel that everything should be handed to them and when they don’t get it, it is always someone else’s fault.  ((Sorry, the light headedness is starting up again)).

Megan, I’ve recently started using Ancestry too! I didn’t get far with most of my family, but my one grandma I can trace back to the mid-1600s in Quebec, and then France before that (15 generations and still going). One woman was born only 35 years after the first person born on Canadian soil! I didn’t know any of this (other than they came from France originally) so it’s pretty cool.

It wasn’t that much fun until I found that my grandma’s side went back forever. On my mom’s side, I can’t get back any further than my great-grandparents. All four of them came from Poland and I can’t find any info at all before they came to the states. I tried to do my husband’s family with the same issue – as soon as I tracked them to Europe, I couldn’t find anything else (even though I signed up for the international package)

I’m 48 years old.  I sell insurance which is not terribly exciting but it pays the bills.  I’m married.  I have 6 rabbits and one very loud but cute little cockateil.  I like to read and watch TV.  I currently help out at a Guinea Pig Rescue updating their facebook page and running their store.

I have also discovered I enjoy cooking and baking.  I cannot cook as well as my husband though who is a retired chef, but I’m working on it and sometimes he even likes what I cook.  I do make better bread than him though.  

Right now I’m just trying to save money to retire someday – I have a long way to go though

Megan, I’ve recently started using Ancestry too! I didn’t get far with most of my family, but my one grandma I can trace back to the mid-1600s in Quebec, and then France before that (15 generations and still going). One woman was born only 35 years after the first person born on Canadian soil! I didn’t know any of this (other than they came from France originally) so it’s pretty cool.

What fun things have you found out?

 

Oh wow that’s awesome!  A tip, always watch if you ever get anything from another family tree, sometimes their info isn’t right, I always make sure they have source information I can see.  You might want to look at http://www.familysearch.org .  It’s the mormon church website and has a lot of public records that anyone can search on as long as you know a name!  Peppypoo, you might want to try that site first to see if you’d get anywhere.  If you guys ever need any help searching a person let me know and I can always try to help, I feel like I’m an expert on researching now haha! 

I found a ton of interesting stuff, one of my great grandfathers was in the revolutionary war and was in George Washington’s command!  But the thing I’m working on the most to solve is my 3rd great grandfather.  Something happened, either he died or disappeared and his wife had to take her kid(s) to an orphanage to be cared for while she worked, she paid for them to keep them there but I guess something happened and they messed up and my 2nd great grandfather got adopted out!  She finally found out where he went and met the family and decided he was better off there since she was ill.  She got better and reconnected with him and I have pictures of them together.  He changed his name before he got married to the “supposive” family that raised him (which I haven’t been able to find yet).  I never knew about this until I started researching and my grandma told me!  All that time I never knew.  She even had a document proving his name change from 1892 that was still in great condition!  I’m still confused on what happened to his father…I found some information but then I think I might have hit a dead end and was tracking the wrong guy with the same name…I have no clue lol!  But it’s definately very interesting to research your family!

Also so cool that you had a relative in the revolutionary war. Do you know when he came over from England? (I assume it was England). That’s a long history in the US!

I haven’t been able to find any interesting stories, really. On my grandma’s side, once I got back a little way there were many man people who had the same folks in their family trees – I usually get at least 5 hits per person. I guess everybody could be wrong and going on one person’s wrong information. Most of the people have at least some birth and death records, I’ve just been too lazy to actually go through the sources, so I’ve trusted the family trees I’ve found.

Seems like everyone in the family had 10-15 kids (and sometimes multiple spouses) so there are tons of people in the northern US and Canada who are related to them. I also found some cool pictures of my grandma’s parents and a great-grandfather on her side (I think about four greats? I don’t remember) that several people had confirmed. It’s also really cool that pretty much everybody on her side was from France (a couple from Belgium) and then went to Quebec. There are literally no other nationalities and most were from the same region of France even (Normandy). Just imagining what it must have been like to travel over to Quebec that long ago is pretty cool.

I’m a bit disappointed that I couldn’t find more information on which members are native american. I know that my great-great-grandma was, but only because of what I’ve been told – I can’t find any records on it. I found another woman who was called 1/2 Indian, but she was many generations back. It’s tricky because they all have French last names and many list themselves as white on the census. I do know that one island my grandma grew up on has some reservations, so I’m kind of assuming the people who lived there are probably at least part Indian.

I really wish there was a good way to print this out so I could share it with her! I can only print one branch at a time and it’s obviously not interactive. She lives near my uncle and cousins, so maybe she can ask them to show it to her on the computer and go through it.

But in short, my grandma & her first cousin gave me that information. She actually thought he died while serving in the civil war but I proved that wrong…he never even served in the civil war. Some guy used his name as an alias! Who knew right?! Plus he had his kids after the war was over. So it was neat to tell her what she thought she knew wasn’t what happened.

Skibunny, the problem is that I’m a first-generation immigrant, so most of my relatives/ancestors didn’t have English names, much less public records in the US. In fact, my last name is pretty unique because my dad decided to anglicize it in kind of a strange way when we came to the States 20 years ago. For kicks, I tried the familysearch web page but nothing turned up, haha.

It’s really too bad, because I’ve always loved listening to my grandparents talking about their own grandparents etc. and would love to find out more about my family history..I guess I’ll have to make do with listening to everybody else’s awesome stories!

..No sorry, no nothing. I guess he is married to an Asian woman, but the comment was really uncalled for. I don’t speak any other language, I’m a really Americanized Asian American.

 I am really into marching band and drumcorps, so if I did end up teaching I would want to have a highschool gig and in the summer teach a drum corps. I marched in the Concord Blue Devils before I aged out at 21.

Rock on Lintini, the Blue Devils are awesome!  Well, I’ve got to say I’m not sure about now but back in MY day (93-94) they were the most kick-butt corps out there.  And their contra line *drool*

Heh, obviously I’m a drum corps person too. Played mello in the Crossmen back when they were cool and had real uniforms.   Heck, this was so long ago that I actually played marching french horn for Jersey Surf!  My most fun though was when I played contra for the Hawthorne Caballeros in ’06.  There’s something about a 5’3″ girl playing a huge horn that people love LOL  Not the best picture, but here:

Oh, I guess I should introduce myself!  I’m Alex.  I’m in NJ – I work in IT for a very high end blue boxed jewelry company.  In my spare time do theatre stuff – acting, lighting, and stage management.  I unfortunately had to pass up a great paying gig this summer because ofthe trouble I’m having bonding the bunnies and how much time it would have taken me away from them.  For any of you theatre geeks out there, I’ll be SM’ing August Osage County next year (excited!!!!)

My two bunny monsters are Banner and Merry.  Right now, like I said, we’re going through a tough bond.  I got Banner as a baby who had 2 sisters.  I’m pretty sure Merry (who is 3) was always an only bunny.  I had her for a while before getting Banner and I think she doesn’t know what to do with him.  And talk about jealous!  Banner just wants to play and snuggle but she won’t have any of it yet *cry*

I’m 36 so hush up all you youngsters.   And I love how many of us are part Asian!  Mark – is that SCA?  And fire eating? sweeeet!  One of my oldest friends runs the Wicked Faire – it’s an East Coast thing so I don’t know if you’ve heard of it out in CA.

And for all of you horse lovers – I used to do Civil War reenacting – I was in the cavalry – I used to play bugle whilst on horseback!  Now, don’t get all excited, yeah it’s hard but considering I was riding a tiny little old horse who never wanted to move (poor girl is gone now, she was so sweet) it was easy enough to do.  She would always give a sigh before she had to follow the others *ugh, do I really have to go faster than a walk?  seriously?! fine. harrumph*

 I’m also a massive advocate for body modification. I’m heavily tattoo’d and have rather large stretched ears which attract much unwanted attention. But my baby bunny loves me!

Hear, hear, I’m all about the bod-mod too.  I’m not -heavily- tattooed (I would love to do my arms but in my industry that just wouldn’t fly) but I looooooooove the artwork I have.  Japanese dragonfly -left shoulder; japanese dragon – right back/hip (both these take up a good half of my back); and then a smattering of smaller tats on my wrists and ankle (which is the symbol of my Japanese grandmother’s family [or so they say – it’s the whole samurai crest thing which I never got to validate with her, alas]).

LoveChaCha – I’ve definitely gotten comments like that before. I was part of a traditional Chinese dance troupe from 2nd grade until I graduated from high school, and I’ve heard quite a variety of xenophobic/racist comments at performances and stuff. There are plenty of Asians where I live, and I would never hear these comments normally, but I guess being dressed up in costume at performances automaticaly meant that we couldn’t understand English so people could say whatever they wanted around us. I did have some fun surprising people by chatting with them in English, though.
