I currently own two young female rabbits. Neither of them have been spayed yet. The oldest of the two is totally chill and has been since I got her. My youngest used to be SO sweet, but recently (last 2 months or so) has become very disgruntled by everything. She is still kind to my other rabbit, but she tries to bite me, no longer likes to be picked up, and makes weird squaking noises when I pet her. I have to put my hand on her head when it’s feeding time so that she won’t bite me.

My oldest went through a short phase like this, but never actually tried to hurt me and quickly grew out of it. I expected the same from this one, but she still seems so angry. Do you think her attitude will go back to normal once I get her fixed? I’m just so confused.

My rabbit was like this, i taught her to stop acting aggressively to bein fb held by picking her up often, eventually she got used to it.

Before she would let me touch jer front paws then all of a sudden she would start biting and scratching st me.

And at one point if i put my hand in her cage she would attack me.

If shes young, shes probably going through the “terribles twos”, phase like children do.

For the most part i stopped doing what bugged her.

I posted in this thread the other day, but mine was one of the posts lost in the site glitch.

I commented about the fact that neither of your rabbits are spayed. It sounds like they are housed together or are together at times. You said that they are getting along and that the rabbit that is aggressive toward you is kind to your other rabbit. But it really would be best if they were separated until they both have been spayed, a few weeks has elapsed after surgery, and you go through a bonding routine wit them. Once a rabbit reaches puberty, they can become unpredictable. They can be fine for a while, then their hormones can start causing aggression, territorial feelings or a change in attitude. The aggression can lead to fighting and that can lead to severe injuries. Even though they may be loving toward each other now, that could change overnight, so it’s always best to keep any rabbits separated once they have reached a certain age.
