like a minute ago from the little one. It seems I can’t put my hand in that cage without them wanting to chopm on me, so far it been little nibbles but not a full fledge chomp won’t let go, instead of doing the high pitch yelp I somehow did it in a low manly voice lol, then remembered. well lower then my voice normally anyways…which isn’t manly lol! Any suggestions on training them not too, I can tell 2 are gonna be bitters cuz they do try.

that high-pitched squeal really is the best way – it means no/bad/ow in bunny-ese

Watch your butt….sometimes they like to go for that when you’re bending down.

Your lionhead is so cute Amy!

I agree with wendyzki, the high pitch squeal will help them to learn to socialize with humans and what is OK and what is not.  If it still persists, then place your hand on their forehead so that they learn you are top bunny and stop.  I am not sure if at this point they are trying to establish a hierarcy or not or just being defensive.  How old is the one that bit you?

I think part of the problem is putting your hand in the cage – I know you have too but they may not want you in their cage. I agree about placing your hand on their head too. I’ve heard the yelp does work but I’ve never mastered that myself. I have a biter and while he’s gotten better and he’ll stick his head out of the cage for pets, I still don’t trust him 100% because he will turn on me and bite. When he does bite me I usually try the hand on forehead thing and pet him – I’m not quick enough to get the yelp out cause I’m usually crying once he bites me. I think alot of the problem is his housing – he needs a pen and I cannot accommodate him like that right now since I don’t have the room.

It’s probably a territory thing… if you haven’t had the bun long or it’s in bunny puberty, sometimes they don’t trust you and think you’re a threat to them in their territory.

I feel like when she does this though she is actually thinking I have food in my hands. She just a baby…I think, I know the others are so I asume she is. Hard to tell cuz I know she is gonna be a small bun. Shes the one that does the over grooming too.

Here are  a couple of great articles about bunny nips/bites and what to do about it. There are different solutions for different nipping reasons.  For example if the nipping is MEANT to hurt you, like they are saying "Don’t touch my stuff!", then you squeeling won’t matter.  It does sound more territorial.

Check out these articles to help you determine what might be going on and what to do about it.
