Hello! My rabbit Newsie just got neutered 4 days ago, and while I already called the vet about this, I wanted to get some more opinions. About two days ago I was looking at his incision and there is a dry yellowish colored crust around his genitals and it alarmed me. The vet said that it was probably dried pee, and that I shouldn’t bother cleaning it. I wanted to make sure that it was that, but the vet was not alarmed. I’m just a nervous bunny owner! Should I check with the vet again? Newsie is eating, drinking, and playing around like normal. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I’d still go to the vet to be on the safe side. Bombur had crusty yellow around his neuter site, and it actually did turn out to be the start of an infection. So I feel like you really can’t be too safe.
