YAY! I got a cell phone for Xmas!

it’s very weird for me.  i have not had a cell phone in probably over 4 years, which is strange due to my young age.  even my *grandma* has a cell phone! 

i love my new phone.  it flips open to a full keyboard (so sweet for texting!)  i just had to share my joy!  i’ve already texted my best friends maybe 300 times (fortunately we all have Verizon so it’s free…)

Lol I just got my second cellphone for Christmas my old one was horrible. This one is awesome it is a texting phone as well.

 

But my favorite Christmas present this year is my Xbox 360 Elite I don’t really like games but I love xbox games

I felt like I kind of got a new cell phone for the holidays.
I was shopping in Best Buy for a little item I wanted for my boss’ family, and was browsing. Came to the Verizon display and there was a cute free phone with 2 year contract. The salesman looked up my number and it turns out I hadn’t renewed my contract since 2006, so this was totally free. It’s a cell, not a palm gizmo, but it’s a purple Motorola that the techie said is much better, and what the heck, I would be renewing anyway. So I have a new cell phone too.

I’m a bit anti phone – lol. The one I have now I inherited from my sister when she went away. It was on a contract so I used it as my home phone until the contract expired. I now only use it to text and I generally don’t carry it with me. I must admit though, the new phones have features that are tempting me. The camera and video functions! Couldn’t care less bout the call functions, just would want one so I could upload photos & vids of you know who!

It wasn’t really a christmas present it was a “just because” present that happened to be close to xmas. I bought my boyfriend an ipod nano for xmas and I mentioned I’d probably buy one too coz they’re really awesome and he surprised me with one today! My mum also bought me a really lovely necklace and a cool mineral makeup kit because I have super sensitive skin.

All of the presents I got were surprisingly good… really no duds! Except my grandparents on the white side of my family only gave me $10… hahah, drive thru lunch anyone? But really, anything is better than nothing!

I got a Dell Mini laptop!!! It wasn’t even something I thought to ask for just something I mentioned would be awesome to have for taking notes at school and stuff and my mom completely surprised me!! It’s red and soooo little I love it

This was a great gift season for us this year! My hubby bought me a new Dell laptop, my dad bought us a Wii and I found one of the last Wii Fits on christmas nite online! Havent been able to find one since so I just got lucky.

The only “dud” i got was some stuff from bath & body works-allergic and cant use any of it.

I got the peta bunny necklace from my mom   I was so excited! 

I did get one “dud” present but it was expected lol.  My brother got me dollar store lotions and body wash and I hate that stuff because it always just smells so strong and yick I’d be sneezing all day.  Luckily my daughter thought they were all wonderful so I’ll just be putting them in her bathroom for her to use

We did most of our Christmas gifts early (my husband and I) but we’re counting them as Christmas presents since they we used  our “christmas budget” on them.  We got a wii, wii fit and a blu ray player for our new tv   Definitely an exciting year for electronics around here lol.

My 7 year old just called me today from her dad’s and she told me she got a cell phone for christmas…oh joy! Just what a 7 year old needs..

Wohoo score Beka!!!!  I am so excited for you! I want one of those phones with the full keyboard too, but I love my Miami Ink Razor too much with the Dragon tattoo design.

I have to say the gift I am stoked about is what is probably ho-hum to a lot of people – my Kohls gift cards. LOL I know it’s kind of cheesy but the thing is that I’ve lost 24 1/2 pounds now in the last 7 weeks and have gone from a size 18 to a size 12 and no money to buy new clothes. I am the sad saggy-butted girl who accesseoizes with many belts to hold her pants up.  Now I can buy some that actually FIT! Wohoo! Goodbye belts….for now. I’m dropping sizes like crazy so I’m just going to buy a few pants right now. *grin*

Mostly money-boring I used some to take my ‘little’ cousin (she’s 18 not really little lol) to Calgary last night to visit and go out so that was fun. We got a self cleaning deep fryer and Dave’s been deep frying food for two days now-he’s really happy lol Mostly we just got house stuff though

And I detest having a phone sometimes It’s totally handy but I went without for the summer because I just got fed up with Telus and cancelled my phone and it was great. Now I get texts and calls all day, between friends and the shelter and I find it really tiring  I usually let it go to voicemail find out what they want and then call back

I had a good christmas, but i usually do From dad i got a reeeaaally nice digital camera, a graphics tablet to plug into my computer, and a new dvd player plus some cds and dvds. From mom i got a fire pit to use in my backyard YAY! and a pretty mirror.

Callie my cat got a laser pointer for christmas. hahaha so much fun!

a sony cybershot. its GREAT! the model is w170. it has a 5x optical zoom, which is very rare to have a optical zoom that high on a point and shoot digital camera. usually they are only 3x sometimes 4x. and it has amazing macro functions…like focusing on something that is an inch from the camera lense. great! love it

^that’s the camera i have (the red one!) the pic quality is excellent. my friend has the Exilim (sp?) camera and mine takes much better pics than hers. i adore it, and it’s super easy to use. it took me like 2 days to get used to it, but now i’m a pro. my cell phone takes pretty good pics too. it’s convenient b/c i’m more likely to have that on me than my camera.

we looked at the next model up that was a touch screen, but it was so sensitive… i prefer having an actual button to click.

yeah, i’m still really excited about the phone. i’m sure in a few months, it’ll get old, but now i’m a texting fool.

for x-mas i got this digital frame thing, that you can put your pics on and flip through them. Also a photo printer so I can print out any pics I want from my camera, without having to run to Wal-Mart lol. But most of all I was able to save up alot of money to buy the haven,cottage etc. mmm love rabbit shopping

one of my best friends has the same phone in maroon.  mine is the black.

i love the keyboard b/c it doesn’t have the itty bitty palm-size buttons, they’re set-up like a keyboardQWERTY) and much easier to press and move from button to button.

My cell phone got upgraded too.  one of those rumors with the keypad and stuff.   I cancelled all the text and internet email stuff.   Too slow.   So I have a keyboard on my phone and I only use my phone to make calls heheeeee.   OH well….
