Hello, I tried many times to reply in my original thread, but the system always logs me out when I am doing so. Hence, the only option I have is to create a new post.

Following my posts, I just wanted to give an update: We kept her as the owner refused to take her back. So I said I would keep her only if we did another spay and they pay for it. The reason being that her clinic told me that they do half or full spay but weren’t able to say what was done with her. It turned out in the exploratory surgery that it was half spay, so her uterus was removed end of last year (poor thing). It took about 8 (!) months for her to stop chasing him aggressively from the day we got her in April last year and now I am happy to say that they are good friends.

Often cuddling and grooming one another, sometimes also spending time apart. She stopped chasing him. My Sr. boy even after his neuter started playing with his tunnel again dragging him around as he honks in excitement, also sometimes running after her (but in play). I didn’t think this would be happening again 1 year later (he stopped his playful behavior initially after he was neutered)! All in all both are very happy, and I am glad I finally gave him his girlfriend that I always promised him 🙂

Thanks again for your advice along the way. Best wishes.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Thanks so much for the update (and sorry about the technical difficulties).</p>
A half spay is a first for me, but that would definitely be a barrier to bonding, so it’s wonderful she got through that process with you and there’s a happy ending. Your hard work paid off!!
