I was out of town for a day and left my boyfriend in charge of taking care of our animals.  I came back today and noticed litter (yesterday’s newspaper) in my buns’ food bowl.   Turns out that he thought those were food!

I guess they sorta do look alike.  Luckly it’s only been a day and my buns haven’t been starving for that long.

I have heard of multiple people doing that.  Pellets is pellets I guess.  The buns must have been quite disappointed!

doh!  i wonder if they were thumping mad when they discovered the faux-food?

i kept reading about ‘yesterday’s newspaper’ in posts here and, until the other day in a store when i actually *saw* a bag, i thought they literally meant the newspaper from yesterday.  lol.

I have the same issue with Critter Country and the pellets I used to use – the ONLY difference in look was that the food pellets were about 1/16″ shorter. I just changed Maryann’s diet to a new ‘Older bunny’ formula. I haven’t received the disapproval yet…

i hope he didn’t put the food in the litterbox!  buns would be thinking…" we go from having only a quarter cup of pellets to a whole big box?  SWEET!!!  we like the boyfriend!!!"

Yes do tell! Was the litter box full of food? What did he put in there?

lol…how does this even happen? Do you have a bag of rabbit poop next to the pellets? Or did he actually scoop them out of the litter box into the food dish…which would be crazy

Lago – she didn’t mean poop as food…she meant the newspaper pellet “yesterday’s news” litter

I wondered what you were talking about, I googled it and now I understand.

Oh well and least he meant well.
