I was working on a sewing repair project on the floor when the doorbell rang, and quickly gathered up my things to answer it. I returned from the disruption and found Demi poking around in my sewing things, so I shooed her away. Then I noticed that I had accidentally left 3 small (closed) safety pins on the floor. I don’t know how many I initially left out, but I can’t help but think what if she ate them and what I saw was what was left?

I know I’m being paranoid, and she doesn’t even eat lettuce if it’s not the kind she likes so I know it’s very unlikely. But I need someone to tell me I don’t need to be watching her every second with my car keys ready to go…that is, if that’s what you believe! AH, she just did a sort of hiccough thing! This is not ok, this is not ok!

One of my bunnies enjoys trying to chew on any coins he can find (found him trying to eat a quarter I didnt realize fell on the floor before. Checking the floor over for loose change is part of the daily bunnyproof checking now), so its not impossible your bun mightve tried to eat one

Like Mikey said, not impossible. Most of the time they only try nibbling foreign objects though, hopefully your bun didn’t eat them

Yes, if they don’t realize they are doing it I feel that they will. For example, Dorothy ate a small amount of the metal part at the end of a pencil (that holds the eraser) because she was enjoying chewing the eraser.. she likes to chew on rubber. Of course I had a mini panic attack after that because of the sharp edges on the metal piece, but she ended up being fine.

I think it would depend on the bun but I definitely don’t think that would be the most enjoyable chew toy. I would watch to make sure she’s eating, drinking, pooping okay.
