I know how important it is to keep rabbits minds stimulated and provide them with things to do etc, I have tried so many toys with her and tried making various things for her to play with but she gets bored with them almost instantly and doesn’t touch them again.

Where i live pet supply stores have a fairly standard selection of toys for rabbits and i have tried to look everywhere to find something that she would enjoy, unfortunately as i live in Australia i cannot purchase items from binkybunny does anyone know of anywhere in Australia or any site that ships internationally where i can get decent rabbit toys?

I am at a loss as to how to keep my bun entertained…

I would like to include as well that i wasn’t sure if asking where to buy toys from was a violation of forum rules, or whether replies could be considered a form of advertising? so i do apologise in advance if  this question breaks any rules regarding advertisement or promotion, it is not my intended purpose at all and i understand if replies are not allowed etc i just thought i would give it a try, and would greatly appreciate any help

        Thank you!

It can take some time to identify what they’re into. When you’ve noticed her being busy is she digging, chewing, arranging things? Not all get into play. You may notice she is pretty low key during the day and has burst of energy at certain times.

I’ve found my rabbits like cardboard boxes to investigate, hang out in amd occasionally chew. Also, if I fix things down they’re more likely to chew at them then a chew toy. I have some baby toys for them but they rarely get looked at. Sometimes they’ll toss them. I found in SA that Cunninghams warehouse, and now in Coles too, there is a bare willow basket for about $7. Some like to chew these or hide under them. You can also try get pesticide free apple wood or some willow as big chew sticks.

Have a look in the Toy section under Bunny Info at this site. There’s some homemade ideas there.

Another Aussie member posted recently for some sites to get rabbit toys too. I’ll try find that and the site that was recommended to her.

Edit: ok, she posted about this site: http://www.petcityonline.com.au/products-main.asp and another member recommended this one peninsulapetsupplies.com.au

          Hope that helps some.

I agree wtih jerseygirl in watching for what your bun likes. Mine is a rearranger! She likes to decorate her own space and move things around, so I give her seagrass mats and cloth towels. She also has a thing for cardboard. She loves anything cardboard. I give her a cardboard tube, she plays with it for an hour, I take it out, give it back to her in a week and it’s like a brand new toy! Just keep trying different things and see what your bun goes for. Most of what I give my bunny are not purchased from a pet store and are things that I have around the house. Good luck!
