  *pant pant pant* Dave finally caved in (thanks to all your tips!) and said I can have Rupert!!!
  
  Unfortunately Rupert is at a pet expo right now, so we probably can’t get him until Monday, but WOOHOO I get him!!!

  That’s great news K&K! Rupert’s been at the shelter since mid-August, and really deserves to go to a good home.
  
  You can always go to the Pet Expo at Northlands tomorrow if you want to see the little guy!

  Awsome! How did you convince him? Any tips to convince my parents? They said I should be happy with my 3 ratties and maybe I should, but I want/need a bunny!!

  My husband was an almost instant yes when I asked if I could get a bunny. I have had some sort of pet growing up. After I got married, I didnt’ have any pets. I was begging for a dog. My husband wouldn’t cave in. Finally, I asked about how about a bunny? He said yes. A week later I had Holly. He is’nt really an animal lover, but he even helps me take care of her. He goes in to her area and talks to her and even lets her climb on him. I’m impressed, so maybe it won’t be that hard for your parents to let you have a bunnie

  Thanks! Problem is it took me 4 years to convince them to let me get a pet. I wanted a rabbit or ferret, but they said to start out with rats. I love my rats and all, but there’s just something about bunnies. I even offered to clean our whole house for months just for one bunny! I have enough income, I am responsible enough, I have enough time, they know I can take care of another pet, but my dad thinks we have enough pets already. Oh well. Guess I’ll have to wait 6 months-2 years longer.
