How long before you put twix outside was she soaked?

An PLEASE do not leave them alone for ANY length of time outside in that pen, its far too unsafe!

Sorry if I sound a bit.. over bearing. Its just that buns take a very very long time to dry completely, and getting a chill when they are damp can cause a ton of problems. And with your mom not being cooperative, I don’t think you want to have those vet bills to deal with.

i have a fairly large backyard, and we got LOTS of snow… so i grabed hershey out of her cage, demolished the front yard sculpture and threw my x-pen in the backard and made a new tunnel castel, but i decided that wasnt enough room so i made a huge pile of snow outside the x-pen tunnel castel and made like a mountain out of it so hershey could get out if she wanted to and then made tunnels and pathways all through the yard…. we were out there from about noon untill 8 pm ( with the exception of supper for me and the buns) i shoveled all the way down to grass in some spots. hershey fell in love. and there was a bunny getaway in the tunnel castle.. where i had a blanket and food and water. i could tell it was nice and cozy in there because the water never froze even though the dish of water outside was frozen solid within an hour.

before you get your poking sticks out i have a confession… i forgot to take pics of this amazing habitat! im sorry! ill take pics when i get home on monday if its still standing… (i went away for the weekend… AGAIN!)

After reading this thread, I don’t mean to hijack it and get off topic, but I just have to say how amazed I am at Mocha200. Not only was she struggling with the the same things you are/were and somehow, with persistence, was not only able to  bring her bunnies inside, but she also got her bunnies spayed (with the second one scheduled), even with opposing opinions from other people around her, and recently her father made her an amazing indoor bunny cage…… and now she can turn around and help you who is in a similar situation. I just remember all that she had to go through and obviously her parents decided to compromise and so kudos to them too. Yeah for Mocha200 and her parents!!

So MirBear,I also happy to hear that you were able to convince your parents to bring your bunnies inside and hopefully you will be able to spay them sometime in the future. Sounds like you also have an uphill battle, like Mocha had when it comes to spaying. Good Luck to you and if you need any help or advice with that let us know.

Edited: Major typos and goofball sentences (more than normal for me) that had to be changed.
