They are lucky to have someone who loves them and wants them to be happy and have room to play and explore! Nothin’ wrong with wanting happy bunnies!

Mocha, do you have dimensions for the wooden cabinetish structure you have? Is it hard to make?

                        Sure,

                        It is 5′ tall, 3 1/2ft. wide

each shelf is 2ft. deep, 3 1/2 ft. long and 1 1/2ft. tall.

Its not that hard to build if you know how to cut wood.

Wow. This is so awesome. I wonder how I could make a ramp for my buns, in the x-pen. they only have one story…*starts getting ideas*

What an awesome idea! You’ve totally inspired me to make a window seat for my bunnies! Both of them love lounging in sun spots, so I’m sure they’ll enjoy having a view to go along with it : )

They spend ALL there time up there, I am not even kidding. The only time they come down is for playtime and food. lol.

So I changed it AGAIN because the kennel wasn’t working so I used the xpen this time and added some shelves, they haven’t figured out how to get on the middle shelf yet though.

All right. This may be a silly question, but what are you using as the base of the shelves ( the one on the x pen)? And how are they fastened on?
BTW – it looks great! What lucky bunnies. I also really like the hay basket ( in the valentine day pics). Did they like it/ were they able to access the hay easily? I’m wondering how much tinkering with the bunny area my hubby will put up with.

for the bottom shelf, I used carpet with a towel and ceramic tile over it, for the middle shelf, I used a rug and cardboard with a blanket on it, and for the top shelf i used the bottom of a dog kennel and cardboard.

the pink hay rack i got from Ikea and the bunny’s really love it. I still have it up its just not in the picture.

Wow! Their house is so nice! You’ve totally inspired me to add more to their current house and make it more like yours. A few quick questions though… In some of the pictures I see some linoleum. I’m assuming you bought it just for this project. Where did you get it? Also, is it hard to clean or have you found a way to take it apart easily? Tink, my little girl, still pees in random places other than her litter box. I’ve tried litter training her so many times I am now convinced it’s just not possible. I’ll need to build a structure that can be quickly taken apart as I clean it almost everyday. Any ideas?

you mean the linoleum in the condo ( on the left,)? we already had the linoleum because we had just redid our kitchen floor, but i am planing on making another condo this summer for our summer house and my dad said i should be able to find some scraps real cheap some were. I didn’t make it real easy to take apart but I could have if I had some wood ( our shed is snowed in ).
