Thanks Binky!  Anyway to pre-order and then you can ship when they are available?  Just planning my budget and order–sorry I don’t mean to be difficult.

*is ashamed* Oh Binky, I’m sorry, I ordered so many this last time did I clean you out?
My apologies everyone! But my buns go through these like a duck through water! I hope there will be more soon!

Okay, so here’s what I have done in the past and it works:

                    1. send me an email, with your first and last name AND your user name and how many you want to order.
                    2. I put those requests all in a file, and I then make enough for those requests and put them to the side.
                    3. I then email you and let you know you will need to order them within a week or so in order to insure that you get “your reserved” amount

That way even if by chance the “online store stock” runs out, I still will have enough of the reserve to fill your order.

I actually already have a “NOTIF” folder started with compiled emails of willow requests.

NOTE: We are not sure what form the willow foliage and branches will take this year. The first year it was wreaths, and then we were so tuckered out, we tried to do something we thought would be even more simple and less time consuming – hence the bundles, but they too are very time consuming, and they have become so popular we have a hard time keeping up with the orders, so we are trying to figure out another creative way, but quick way to use the same portion of willow foliage and branches. We’ll keep you updated.

That’s a great idea!  Can I pay for me when I pay for my hay?  Awesome.

Bunnycraze – we are working with our shipping rep to help explain some of the custom charges, limits etc. So far our test shipments to Canada and a couple of other International locations went without a problem and no extra fees. So we are working on it. It’s just customs really makes it a whole learning experience. I feel like I have to get a college degree in International Shipping to fully understand it.

                            We’re gettin’ there.

Skunklion – Unless you we can ship the hay at the same time we ship the bundles then it won’t work because shipping separately costs so much. SO just send me an email with your request of bundles, and then when they come in, I’ll let you know to go ahead and order online. (If you want to order hay THEN at the same time that’s okay) Does that make sense?

Now that I think of it, and saw the picture… are these willow bundles made of willow tree leaves, bundled together? I know it sounds silly… but it’s just that I have two willow trees at home, and I was wondering if I could give them some of those leaves… would that be safe?

                                    Thanks!!!

You just have to be sure zero pesticides have been used, and make sure that the branches you use have no bird or pest feces on them. So if they are your own and you know they are pesticide free, then you can probably pick and choose the branches safely. Also, unless you feed them fresh willow, you should be sure to dry them out, otherwise they will wilt and quickly decay if too much is stored together (lots of moisture) Also, what type of willow do you have? Are they weeping?

Yes, they are weeping willos BB. So, can I feed them fresh willow? I mean, I guess I can take a few branches every once in a while. Should I wash them just in case? Thank you BB!!

I would definitely wash them if you are not sure. I also would recommend drying them – at least the branches as it is a good way to keep their teeth healthy. It can take a couple of weeks, unless you are in a hot dry climate.
