I’m really hoping to get a rabbit but in the summer time I go out to my lake house which is only 30mins away. I was thinking that mabey I could get an x pen and set him up a cage out there so I can travel between houses. Would that stress him out to much? I would probably go out every other weekend for about 4 days.

It will depend on the rabbit. Some rabbits will be able to take that fine, but orders could be stressed.

An important item I’d suggest is if you get the rabbit during the summer, do not go for at least a month while you and the rabbit establish a relationship. Either that or get the rabbit before or after the summer. The rabbit will need time to adjust and destress against you before considering car rides and new environments. Also consider age. If your rabbit needs to be spayed/neutered and this lands in the summer, it would be dangerous to travel with a recently operated on rabbit, though recovery would take at most 2 weeks if all goes well.
