My bunny stretches at least 3 times a day? Is this normal? He seems to have started it in the past few weeks. Just wondering! Thanks

Mine stretch and yawn all the time – almost every time they get up from a nap.

Try laying with your head on the floor next time so you can look up at them while they strech. Its funny to see their little mouth open really wide when they strech and yawn you can see their big teeth ^_^ lol

I love seeing the big teeth! Whenever one of mine yawns I yell “Roar!!” lol They look like little lions. Really cute, non-scary, lions.

At least I think she is a lionshead….thats what everyone has told me, though no one has really confirmed it. Her pictures don’t show her long hair around her head very well, but its there.

You should post a thread and we can take a look! I always have fun on the “guess the breed” threads.

I would if i could upload a picture to a thread…I can’t seem to figure it out. Like I click attach file and then add to post but it never shows up.

At least stretching makes perfect sense. Nova is pretty much a groundhog as she is ALWAYS up on her back feet. Observe my avi… She also stretches a lot. And flops most of the time.

That sounds pretty odd.  I doubt a wild rabbit would be so relaxed as to lie around that way for long length of time.  Having his head far back sounds  like seizures but you had said his body wasnt tight. Were you actually able to move his limbs when in this state?  I do wonder if it’s a nutritional deficiency (potassium, magnesium) causing “floppy rabbit syndrome”?    Or this could be due to parasite or bacterial infection.

Do you have an organisation in your area that cares for wildlife?  If so, I suggest contacting them to see what they advise.

A quick note, we normally would close old topics that have been revived but I will leave this open for now.
