So… who’s bunny has a stufie?
Guin and Lancelot have 2 stuffies to share. Tjhey both love their stuffies, and eachother. They spend hours grooming them. I send a stuffy with Lancelot when he goes to the vet, for comfort, and when he is sick and I take him with me on my out-of-town trips. He spends most of his resting/sleeping time either resting on his stuffy, or on Guin’s head, neck, or back. It’s very cute. I got them each a stuffy while I was bonding them, and I swapped the stuffies so they woudl get eachother’s scent. Guin took to the stuffy first, coz she was lonely after losing her first bunny pal. Lancelot only took to the stuffy when he fell ill with EC. Since then, he has loved his stuffy.
Curious – anybun else?
My Peter has one! He is so cute when he is grooming it, even though he doesn’t very often. ? Actually I initially gave him his stuffie to see if he needed a partner or not. I would love to get him a girlfriend, but I still live with my parents who say I have a zoo. I only have 3 animals. But yes I’m sure Peter grooms his stuffie while I’m at school. And I might just to have to steal your wonderful idea of switching stuffies while bonding! I would have never thought of that.
Oakley has a peter rabbit plush toy the size of him
Oakley’s the same colour as peter rabbit hence the toy
Boston is in love with his blue/grey bear ( see my signature for photo below) called “bobo” – he adores the thing! He uses it as a head rest as he has issues sleeping without resting his head on something
Any particular material/shape that your buns like for the plush toy? I gave Bill a teddy bear but he doesn’t do anything other than rub his chin on it.
Marking it
how long has he had it?
He’s had the toy for a few weeks. I haven’t put it back into his pen since washing it as Bill seemed indifferent to it.
Each time you take it to wash it his scent comes off so it may take awhile to be “his” as such
But I’m saying that – some just aren’t teddy bunnies.
Oakley took about 3-4 days to like his- and I wouldn’t say he loves it but he likes to know it’s there and notices if it isn’t.
Boston it was love from day 1 and he hates being without it now and he’s only 8 weeks old
Guinness and Bleu have their ‘friend’, Caramel. It’s a stuffed TY plush bun we gave Guinness early on when she was a single bun to keep her company for things like her spay and wandering around, and then we used it during pre-bonding between the two to share scents. After bonding, we tend to leave Caramel in their area and they still like to go up and groom him and sometimes lie next to him.
My Bam has 2 stuffies. He completely ignores both. He will sometimes groom his tunnel. I feel so sorry for him when he does that.
I gave my bunnies a stuffed bear when they were separated. They barely (or, bear-ly
) paid attention so they don’t have any now that they’re together.
I like to think that they recognize the bunny shape in the stuffies, but I”m nto sure. Lancelot will groom a face cloth. But then again, he is blind. I do wash the stuffies from time to time, because he eventually drags them into a puddle of pee. (He is incontinent). Of the 2 stuffies, one has lop ears like Lancelot, and the other has upright ears like Guinivere.
I don’t have one yet, but I’d like to get bugs one! Can you guess tell me what company you get them from, I want to make sure I get a bunny-safe one in case she chews the fur it!
Thanks ![]()
Luna has one. I’m not sure what brand it is because I cut the tag off it so she wouldn’t want to chew on it. I bought it at Target though. She has only groomed it a couple of times, she likes to lay on it when she is sleeping. During the day I put it in her house she likes to sleep in and at night when she goes to bed I put it back in her cage. I honestly think she could take or leave it. I don’t think she cares for it that much. Sometimes she pushes it and her blanket up to the door of her house like a barricade, it’s kind of cute to watch her in action!

That’s what I got. One of the stuffies has had the edge of its ear nibble, but it must have been a love nibble, coz my bunnies haven’t tried to chew them.
My Marley has a stuffed bunny rabbit, she doesn’t really like climbing up the stairs to her next level yet though so she’s only seen it when I’ve placed her up there. Hoping she will be brave enough to venture upward soon, cause she also has a really snuggly bed up there.
My boys don’t have stuffies but my Olivia had a little bear that she adored. Or beat up. Depending on her mood.
He now sits beside her little urn.
Jake is a single bunny (for now! Hopefully in a few months I’ll have a bigger place and time to bond Jake to a girlfriend ) so he has four stuffies. He only likes one of them though, haha! It’s the biggest one and its a lop-eared build a bear. He grooms her from time to time and likes to push her around with his nose. He also likes to groom blankets and my body pillow.
Who knows what’s going on in these crazy buns minds, hehe
