  Hopefully I’m allowed to post these, even though the place isn’t mine…I think I am allowed.
  
  Oh well. Anyway, here are pics of the mini that I am seriously looking into buying…
  
  The living room
  
  Kitchen
  
  First bedroom
  
  2nd bedroom (note the tanning bed on the bed….and oil on the dresser!)

  Bathroom (toilet and shower to the right)
  
  Laundry (leading into 3rd bedroom)

  i am JEALOUS! that is very nice for a first home. did you talk to your parents about it? and do you know any flooring guys that can change out that kitchen floor cheap for you (it gave me a headache… i can’t imagine it early in the morning… ugh.)

  omg i am soo jealous, the houses by me are like 200 grand for a shootty 2 bed mid teraced house.. i hate it here i am going to up and move to somewhere other than here if its the last thing i do 😐

  man I am soooo jealous too!!! Like Kimberley says the houses prices here in the UK are extortionate. I am 26 and still can’t afford to buy a place of my own because it costs sooo much for a mortgage. More and more people are buying static homes like the one you have shown but they come with no garden and cost around 150,000…that’s around 305,000 canadian dollars. I am so heartily sick of this country, I feel like upping and leaving too. An lllustrator friend of mine has just moved to Canada after marrying a Canadian graphic designer. She has lived in England for 50+ years but just couldn’t stand it much longer…and this way she can give her 20+ yr old son a better life (he is moving to Canada too). England sucks.

  Oh my goodness Charlie82…that’s crazy madness.
  My “house” is listed at $99 900 but my listing agent says it’s too high; so we’d offer in the $80s…
  and with a good down payment, that would make monthly mortgage payments about $450/month! + utilities isn’t bad at all, considering my half of rent is $375 right now + utilities…!
  
  I go home until Saturday; both my parents are finally home, so I need to seriously talk to them.

  oooooo its so nice! i love it too and i’m so excited for you if everything works out and there isn’t a quick fix for the flooring you can always buy a big neutral area rug to cover most of it.

  Now that has just made me feel even worse!! Wait until I tell my sister. She is a personal banker and had a customer in the other day who was about to emigrate to Canada and she came home saying she would love to do so….however her husband has NOOOO ambition and is perfectly happy to stay in the same town that he has lived in for 33 years.
  
  I think I hould give it some thought. I can work anywhere in the world doing what I do at the moment, but I would have to be able to take my bunnies with me….and my dog 🙂

  If we wanted to buy a piece of land like that here (no property on it) it would be another 100,00 pounds.

  OMG you are lucky! Housing here is crazy right now, bungalows that are old and 1100 sq feet are going for 300k!! Gross huh?
