I have a jaw disorder called TMD and right now I’m in the process of orthodontics. I’ve been going to a TMJ center for treatment for like four years, but today I made a strange discovery – my jaw doctor is a secret bunny enthusiast!

I told him my allergies were acting up because my rabbit is shedding, and the doc asked me what kind of breed I had… I figured he knew very little about rabbits so I was like “Oh… he’s a short haired breed… called a harlequin.” Then his response was “Oh, so he’s a small rabbit?” To my surprise, he knew about the harlequn pedigree breeds. Then he starts telling me stories about his rabbits. Apparently he’s a really big Jersey Wooley enthusiast. He had one for five years that recently passed and he just went on a long and far quest to track down another pedigreed Wooley that was the right size and right breeding! He also told me there’s going to be a rabbit convention coming to San Diego next summer with thousands of show rabbits. Hopefully I’ll be in town for it!

Anyway, I just thought it was strange that I’d known him for so long and had never known!

TMD hey, my aunt has TMD too, she had a car accident some years back and apparently trauma from that caused it. She gets headaches all the time from it.

It’s always strange finding bunny enthusiasts, lol, I guess we think we’re the only people in the world who love bunnies. Bizarre though!

              Oh cool!

Someone who works for my family doctor has a rabbit and my doctor was telling this girl all about my rabbits and told this girl to call me if she had rabbit questions. And I have no idea who this girl is. lol I adore my doctor and have had her for over a decade so she knows me well but its funny that she remembers about my rabbits and always asks about them.

And my husband…oh well he just tells everyone about the rabbits! And then HE even gets calls asking about rabbit health. So funny!

And the doctor was probably just as happy to discover another enthusiast to talk to!  Take him a picture of Frankie next time you go there.  You are his agent after all, gotta get his fluffy face out there!

LOL That’s so funny! Maybe you can pet sit for him and vice versa-then no worries if you have to go out of town!
