  Who here plays WoW? I do! You can get bunny pets too! I have the white one and my gf has the wolperdinger (the horned-fanged one). I have a 63 Shaman on Demon Soul.

  It’s a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game with over 9 million subscribers…On computer. I’m surprised you’ve never heard of it, you surely have a friend or relative that plays
  
  There’s a pretty funny South Park episode about it as well.

  i’ve never heard of it either… not much of a gamer here. i get crazy-hooked on that stuff so i just stay away altogether. i do well to know what wii and x-box are altho i’ve never actually seen any of their games being played i feel so old… lol.

  we’ve avoid WoW like the plague since we’d like to stay married. i’ve lost many friends to that game!

  we’ve seen lots of bunnies in games – like the LoTR games have em hopping around and I seem to recall some in Diablo 2

  I played EverQuest for a while, which is a similar thing. In that game, there are bunnis to kill and some of the quests involve collecting their hides. Sheesh! Good thing I played before I had buns of my own.

  the snowshoe one is in the dwarf/gnome starting area, the brown one is in outlands, and the one with wings is from brewfest (only you, people in ur party, or people completely smashed can see it)

  lol… my best friend was "dating" a guy who was addicted to that game. he was unemployed, lived at home, and played that game. all day. that was it. this isn’t a judgement on other people who play and can still live normal lives… this guy was just a slacker. their relationship would’ve been over after the first month, but he was always so busy playing, they never even got around to breaking up until months later….! i’m addicted (to a lesser degree) to arcade type games and stuff. i love Ricochet, the computer game with the little ball you have to break bricks with… i can play that game all day long if given the chance! that and Snood.

  It’s a common complaint against boyfriends that play WoW, but I think the issue is less an “addiction” and more that the couple don’t share common interests. For instance, me and my girlfriend, while casual players, both play WoW and enjoy playing it together (along with our friends) the same way we would watch a movie or play any kind of game together.
  
  But yeah that guy you described sounds like a real POS, WoW aside.

  I’ll have to check it out! We have xbox 360. I have been playing Oblivion for almost a year now. (though I’ve been way too busy these last two months) I seriously love that game, have a horse for tranporatation, and a rundown house (though it’s haunted) but I don’t have any of those cool rabbit companions though!
  
  Oh, I forgot I do have some little smelly gremlin things for companions, but since they are smelly, I can’t make many friends when they are around. (this is all within the game – not online or with any other "real" virtual people.
  
  I also agree that when it comes to partners, it sure helps to have common interest. I prefer the role playing and mystery games, like oblivion, myst, while my husband prefers shoot ’em up games and the old arcade games too. So we try and choose games that we can both play too- shoot ’em up with stories based behind them – like Splinter Cell. We haven’t gotten any new games lately though.
  
  The only thing I don’t like about playing together is the split screen.

  and it’s funny you say that… i didn’t put the end of the story… after him and my friend broke up, we heard thru someone else that he started dating another WoW player.
  
  they’re still together over a year later.

  gravehearted, I play Diablo II as well (although not as much as I used to) I don’t recall any rabbits. Never played WoW though.

  In the Fifth act of Diablo II, where you are trying to save the Barbarian village, the first map you encounter is a big mountainside, loaded with little hopping bunnies. You cannot shoot at them, they are just part of the scenery.

  Oh O.K. I was thinking that maybe they were a part of some scenery like the chickens in the first act at the rogue camp but I just could not recall. Thanks Osprey!
