I have noticed that frank has some white discharge in his nose. I cleaned it out a couple of days ago and now today there was a little more. There isn’t very much, and he lets me clean it out. I read that this is an upper respiratory infection, but he is eating fine and drinking plenty of water. Do rabbits ever get “boogers”, or does any discharge just mean he probably has an infection. It’s a small amount so I don’t know what to think.

        Thanks!

        Al

For any sort of nasal discharge, I’d get a vet to check it out. Could be minor, could be something worse. Bunnies are good at hiding sickness from us lowly humans.

It could mean there is an infection of some sort, irritation or even a tooth issue. I ditto Monkeybun’s recommendation for a vet check-up.

Okay I will call. We moved into a new apartment a week ago and it stressed him out. Is discharge ever a sign of environmental stress?

Sometimes the bactiria pasturella can manifest when the animal is stressed, and it can show as white discharge from the eyes and nose.
Good luck at the Vet appoointment, hopefully it’s nothing to difficult to treat.
