Hi, I am out to find a great place to get a second bunny. My first bunny passed away 2 days ago and I would like to get another one sometime. She was not even a year old yet and my vet says she had an infection that was present when I first got her witch was either caused by trama or the infection being passed between bunnies. I was wondering if there is a place out there that someone has gotten thier bunny from and the bunny has lived a long life or is still living(they were healthy). I live in Michigan so please only tell me if it is in Michigan.

                                                               Thanks, Lulu

            Welcome to BinkyBunny!

I am not sure how close to you these guys are, they are in Whittaker, Michigan.  They are one of the best known rabbit sanctuaries in the US.

Lulu, sorry to hear of the loss of your other bun. Good on you for looking to adopt another! Nothing quite like a cute bun can bring about some healing! It’s a win-win!
                  Good luck with your search.

sorry about your bunny! that’s difficult. if you got her from a petstore, it’s not uncommon for them to be sick, and they will sometimes die earlier if left untreated. i agree that you should rescue. check out petfinder, you can do a search for rescues or shelters close to you.
