I started bonding Pinky and Muffin on Monday with a 20 minute long session in the bath tub. I plan on switching locations into my dad’s office when the sessions will be over an hour (because we need to use the bathroom). Yesterday’s session was 45 minutes, today’s will probably be the same (as long as Muffin isn’t sick).

I have a post in this forum talking all about the two sessions. When should I start putting in food and a litter box? Muffin was getting bored of the bath tub yesterday, since the session was so long.

I wouldn’t add a litter box until later, but you can try food whenever you want. I often add lots of hay right away. If these seem relaxed you can give them their veggies together.

Thank you DanaNM! I added hay and some herbs today since this session is long. Muffin ate all the herbs, I offered one to Pinky but he didn’t take it. Muffin also ate some hay and Pinky had one bite.

Even one time when Muffin got up to eat, Pinky got up and groomed then went over to Muffin so he could lay beside him and snuggle.

That is all sounding so positive! I’m so happy for you that it’s going smoothly!

Thanks DanaNM! 😀 I think I’ll put them in the office today in an x pen and see how they do in a calmer space. It’s still neutral territory. 🙂
