Forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A When should I provide pellets and water for the babies

        They will be seven days old on Monday and I want to make sure that I begin offering them water and pellets at the correct time.  Suggestions?

            That will be after a few more weeks.  Once they start hopping out of the nestbox their eyes open and ears alert. Probably 4-6 weeks. At 6 weeks they should begin eating pellets and hay too.  For them alfalfa pellets and Mom too.  She does look a bit thin.  It wouldn’t hurt her to be on alfalfa pellets.  Especially with nursing kits.

              Hmmm I think they just start munching on moms food when they can…We really need Lisa, she had a litter at home and did awesome!
