When does a rabbit stop growing, like at what age? My mom doesnt want me to get a huge rabbit so I was just wondering. Also,  do you know or have a guess of the breed of this rabbit? The rescue wasnt a 100% sure because they found him. He is also believed to be about a year old.(He’s the one i want to adopt).

Usually around a year or a year and a half. Just by looking at his picture he looks like a dwarf mix because his ears are smaller/shorter but that is just a guess. He’s adorable.

he is so cute!!!!! he def. looks like a dwarf breed.

my Meadow was about the same weight (give or take an ounce) from 9 months on… so i would say by a year or so, you should know the size of a bunny. be aware that smaller breeds are *sometimes* more active and more skittish, so if you are looking for a calmer bunny, it might be worth it to look at buns in the 5 pound range also… have you met him yet? make sure to keep an open mind when you go to the shelter, b/c you might very well fall in love with somebun else.

Yeah, my personal experience is that they stop growing exponentially around 7-8 months. After that, their bone structure may change and fill out and mature a bit, and they will put on some…’fluff’ in areas like their dewlap and ‘tocks. But that’s about it. My personal experience.
