My little Holland lop is going to be 6 months old exactly on Jan 13. I just weighed her today & it said 3.5lbs. A month ago she weighed either the same or was approaching 3.5 lbs, I can’t remember exactly At 6 months old, is she most likely full grown? Or do hollands typically keep growing up to like 8 months? I expected her to be smaller than my previous bunnies, I’m just confused if she’s done growing or not because her growth seems to have mellowed out, but she’s definitely smaller than her momma was, however, she was also a runt. I guess it’s not that important to figure out, I’m mostly just curious & am having a hard time believing she’s going to stay this small Also, if I weigh her again in 2-3 weeks & she’s still 3.5 lbs, is it safe to assume she’s done growing?

Here she is with my foster Californian, Dax

She may very well be done growing. If she has not grown any more by 8 months, it is safe to assume she is definitely done.

When I got my Holland lop I was told he would probably end up being about 3-3.5 pounds fully grown, although that was based on the size of his parents. It does sound like yours could be done growing or at least be close.

I was told around 3-3.5 pounds as well, which is also what I read online, but then later someone said they typically get to be about 5 pounds. I guess possible that person could’ve actually had a mini lop thinking it was a holland? Or coulda been mixed. Guess I’ll find out soon xD

I just weighed mine today. He’s a month younger than yours and today he only weighed 2 lbs 4.5 oz, which is only 1.5 oz gained since the last time I weighed him on Dec. 13. So I’m not sure if mine is also almost done growing and he’s just smaller than I thought he’d be or maybe he’s just not putting weight on fast enough. He does seem quite thin so I definitely think he could stand to gain some more.

It depends on the individual. Leopold is a “big” boy… over 4lbs. LOL With smaller breeds, they tend to reach their adult size by 6 months. However, they often continue to fill out for a few months after that. If by 8-9 months, your bunny hasn’t gained any more weight, then I think it would be safe to call it.
