I wasn’t sure whether to post this here or in the bonding thread

Runa just got spayed on the 13th, she’s doing very well & I still have her in a contained area so she can’t run around too much. How long does she need to heal before I can try bonding her with my foster? Will 3 weeks of healing be enough time? Or is longer recommended? Mostly wondering because the next event for the rescue is on the 31st, so I’d like to start seeing if Runa & Dax would be a good fit starting around the 31st so he’d be kind of on a “pending adoption” so to speak.

Also, even if I need to wait longer to bond them than that, she will at least be able to free roam again after at least a full 2 weeks of recovery I assume?

She should be fully physically healed after 2 weeks, but a month is normally advised because of the hormonal changes and ‘post spay craze’. Of course, some bunnies’ post spay craze goes on for much longer than a month, and some don’t seem to have one at all, so I would just evaluate how she’s doing on the 31st and play it by ear
