I got back from the shoot around 2 or 3 and noticed Hammer didnt poo or pee! It was 10 when he went in the carrier. Nothing unual, no hunching that ive seen. Its 5 now and still nothing. i dont know when he went last because the litter wasnt completly clean. i cleaned out his cage so ill know for sure if he goes. no change in diet except his hay about a week ago. Help! i listened to his tummy for as long as he would let me but heard no gurlging. Could he still just be stressed from today? I dont know whats wrong or how to help him!

Funny that this just happened to you, BunnyLiz, I went through this with my foster bunny Cali about 2 weeks ago. I cleaned her pen and litter box at about 10 AM on Saturday morning. By 5 PM, the litterbox was unused and I thought “Oh oh, this is not good”. At about 6 PM I let her out for her usual run around time and she must have made 30 poops all around her area. I swear she was saving them!

i have found that with mine too… i clean the boxes early, betw/ 10 and noon usually… and sometimes there seems like there are no poops for awhile… it’s almost like they don’t wanna dirty their clean box.

lmao…Mimzy and Fiver can’t wait to leave a little blessing in their litter boxes after I clean them. Pip just likes to sit in hers right afterwards and feel nice, clean liter on her bum. Doesn’t do a thing and hops out. ^_^
I was going to suggest, the one thing I make sure I do when I have taken my bunnies somewhere is give them plenty of exercise time. Think about it. I’m sure you’ve been on an airplane and it feels so cramped in there and the first thing you want to do when you disembark is go for a little walk to stretch your legs. I think bunnies like to do that too. Those carriers and extremely claustrophobic. Pip goes absolutely ballistic once she gets out of hers, she hates being cooped up. It takes them a while to do something in the litter box after that.
Glad to hear Hammer is himself again though. Give him lots of nose rubs for us! ^_^

lol Mimz ill be sure to give him some good nose rubs for you. And i did keep letting him out in my tiny changing room there when i was changing. He seemed curious and calm but it was only for maybe 5 min. before he had to go back in the carrier again

when I travel with Cotton I notice he will not pee at all.  I let him out no pee. He plays around a little on the ground no pee. HE holds it til we get home.   I dont’ know about poop well actually I haven’t seen poop in  his carrier either.  HE holds it til he is in his litterbox at home.

Once he was out for 6 hours he did real good. That was when I realized he won’t pee except in his litterbox so maybe I should take it with us when we go somewhere with him and will be gone for more than 2 hours.  In the car.

glad that your bun is doing better.  A little scare.  I am glad she was calm thru all the photo shoots. She had you and Beagle. Sounds like she was ok with it.  Asides from the pee poop issue.

yea it just scared me a little because i wasnt sure if stress and travel could do that and if it would go back to normal without a problem soon

It certainly would make trips to the vet dicey if bunny will not potty when you get home.

I think Mimzy is this way too. As long as he doesn’t feel the need to mark something. He doesn’t even like to use the box in the xpen! Waits till he’s in his night pen to use the litterbox.
Oddly enough, I have seen him use the box in the carrier, Hey it’s a long way to and from town, *I* can’t hold it that long! xD
