        Hi guys
My bun is getting spayed literally right now. She’s not at a rabbit only sort of vet, but it’s a clinic that specializes in spaying and neutering. Can she die under the anesthetic? Please answer soon, as I am very worried.
        Thanks

Any animal or human can die under anesthesia. That is the truth. There is always a risk. It used to be riskier to anesthetize rabbits compared to many other animals, but that’s no longer the case. Equipment and anesthetic agents for rabbits are safer now.
I do understand that you worry. It’s normal to worry and very painful. A girl rabbit does need to be spayed though, as I’m sure you know. It’s the absolute best thing for her long term health and you’re a good bunny owner for having taken this measure.
I send you my best wishes and lots of vibes for your bun.
