O.K. I know chocolate is a well-loved favorite for just about everyone. Now is the time to fess-up, share and tempt us with your favorite chocolate fix. I’ll start first!
My guilty chocolate pleasure is the Godvia extra dark chocolate truffle. All that dark chocolately yummyness with a nice mocha latte. I want to lock myself in the closet and remain in privacy until I’m done swooning. Oh, just heaven. Who’s next?
Love hot chocolate – any kind, it’s all good.
But really I love any chocolate – I’m not picky when it comes to chocolate really. I’ll have to try some of those Godiva extra dark chocolate truffles – they sound decadent.
Oh hot chocolate is awesome too! I have a "Tassimo" coffee maker and the Suchards hot chocolate is superb! Do you like yours with or without marshmallows? Oh yes, the truffles are decadent.
if it’s just a little fix…i’d say doves dark chocholate (the little sqares), I like the godiva dark chocholate & raspberry bars and they have a dark chocholate hot chocholate as well that’s very yummy. obviously something dark chocholate!
Another dark chocolate fan!
That’s my favorite too! I haven’t tried the Doves though. I’ll have to try them!
wow… Godvia extra dark chocolate truffle huh? i’ll have to try that!
for me anything chocolate will do, although i can be satisfied with one small square of really dark chocolate. for my b-day this year my sis made me an ‘Ultimate Chocolate Cake’ which lived upto its name! lucky me… in my fam the b-day gal/guy gets to take home the left overs so i ate a piece a day for a week
I am not a huge fan of chocolate, BUT I do love chocolate cake and brownies. I just don’t like the stuff in wrappers. I know that I am probally like the only person on earth. I am a big carmel fan.
Chocolate covered cherries – and the good kind, freshly dipped, not those ones you can buy in boxes at Walgreens
i too am not a HUGE chockie lover, i just have a massive craving for it every few months. This week has been horrendous, eaten my way through a packet of choc chip cookies every morning with my t when i get to work, also half a bar of chocnut last night. But dear god give me a brownie, or caramel or praline, and i’m anyone’s! Give me a box of Guylian seashells…and i can be found in a corner covered head to toe in chockie doing my best mermaid impersonation. (sea cow morelike!)
yummy! i love chocolate too, but have a soft spot for baked goods like cake and brownies. But really i’m an equal opportunity chocolate appreciator, so any dark chocolate will do. 😉
oo spacehopper those Guylian seashells are so rich and creamy, mmm.
Hmmmm stop with your creamy shellness!! This week has been even worse than i first thought. My brain is kicking into gear & i remember through a fog of sleepiness that I placed a stationery order for work on monday, ordered 10 reels of magi tape stuff that no one likes using that much simply because it came with a free box of chocolate covered brazils!! i sat and ate the whole box apart from 3, which i threw in the bin because that way it didnt make me feel quite so lardy! i’ve told no one else this!!! ShhhH!
Wow, that looks so good Lagomorpheus! Do you have to purchase it through a distributer, the internet or can you fnd it at select retail stores? I am going to have to try that. My aunt has a flat in England, maybe she’ll ship some. Hmmm.
Oh my everyone, I am getting a bit giant rear end with a side of giant thunder thighs just reading about the chocolate goodness. O.K. now I need to go work out so I can have some.
YUM!
I am a huge chocolate fan. I am careful not to eat too much, but I can imagine can’t I? IF I could, I would sleep on pillow filled with chocolate, I would have a chocolate blanket. I would wake up and have a cup of chocolate, and then chocolate pancakes, I’d grab my chocolate purse, and get into my chocolate car and nibble on it while driving.
So..um….yeah…I kinda like chocolate.
I love those Cadbury Flake bars too!
flake bars are great – the first time i ate one i freaked out because of the texture. its so different than you’re typical thought of a “candy bar”. But my favorite chocolate is the dark chocolate truffles from Lindt — now you can purchase these in the US but the best thing EVER (and i mean EVER) is when you go to a lindt chocolate factory in switzerland and get one made just minutes before! I used to live in switzerland — we had chocolate factories everywhere, hence my addiction to chocolate.
Oh man that sounds DECADENT! What a treat that would be! Let me tell you I am absolutely drooling now….must…..have…..chocolate….
as a young guy with heart problems, I was happy to hear that eating dark chocolate can contribute to heart health. My FAVORITE thing is to get a glass of cold red wine, get a hersheys kiss and melt it. I put just a drop of it in the red wine and let it sit for about 5 minutes. The sweet chocolate and the bite of the wine is SO good, and its good for me.
Other than that, I work about a half an hour from Hershey,PA, so I am pretty chocolated out since people always bring it to my office.
MMM that wine/chocolate combo sounds really good – I’ll have to try it sometime.
Speaking of UK chocolate candy goodness – I LOVE the “crunchies” (is that what they are called?) They have that chocolate exterior but the interior is like a honeycomb kind of thing? I lived in France for a bit and I was crazy about those. When my UK or Irish friends went home they would buy me bags and bags of crunchies, which I would eat in approximately 2.5 seconds.
That does sound good! So sorry to hear about the heart problems Tom, but at least you can still enjoy a few decadent treats. Another chocolate combo favorite of mine is chocolate gelato and oatmeal stout beer. We have a local Brewery/bar/restaurant called Breckenridge brewery that has authentic gelato and brews their own beer. It’s so good too!
BinkyBunny – that reminds me of the book Chocolate Fever! 🙂
Fred- I grew up not too far from Hersey, Pa! It was always fun to go to Hersey park as kids .
Wow, that looks so good Lagomorpheus! Do you have to purchase it through a distributer, the internet or can you fnd it at select retail stores? I am going to have to try that. My aunt has a flat in England, maybe she’ll ship some. Hmmm.
I buy mine at the World Market here in the U.S., which is a store with lots of imports!
So..um….yeah…I kinda like chocolate.
*rolling on the floor* That is tooo funny binky!!!
I think my biggest craving would be m & m cookies…mmmm…cookies…
Lagomorpheus, I am definately making a trip there this weekend! Thanks for the tip!
Fredsdad – will be trying this at our Thanksgiving party. It sounds good and not so good at the same time, so I will have to try it to see how it actually tastes.
Gravehearted – I haven’t heard of that book – if it has to do with a chocolate world, then I’m on it!
I think my all time favorite chocolates are Joseph Schmidt. They are on 16th near Sanchez and Castro in the city, and so I stop by there (but only if I’m lucky enough to find parking within 10 minutes). They also have an online store, and I send these off to family and friends.
Check out these spectacular joseph schmidt chocolate sculptures
BinkyBunny that sight is awesome. I assume that it’s pretty good then?
What no Sees for you?
*worrying whether her boss will fire her for drooling all over the keyboard at work*
Chocolate!
Chocolate!!!!!!
CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anything particularly gooey is my favorite.
Slightly underbaked double chocolate chocolate chunk brownies with super thick dark chocolate frosting are probably my all-time favorite.
Or Godiva truffles of any flavor.
Or chocolate syrup straight from the bottle eaten standing in front of the fridge at 3am.
Yeah…. Chocolate is good. Really really good.
ROFL!!!!!
Ditto. Have you tried the Ghirardelli ultimate fudge brownies (package mix)? OMG they are TO DIE FOR! Of course with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup!!
oooooooooooooooooooooh! i will have to try those!!! how about with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup?!?!?!
Oh yeah, ultimate chocolate for sure!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmm! I’m going to have to try that after all the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone though.
Wait, how about hot fudge instead of chocolate syrup? Oh, oh and chocolate jimmies sprinkled on top!
oooh! and with a dollop of chocolate whipped cream!!!
Oh no make it stop!!! I can’t take it anymore!!! Must *gasp* have *pant* chocolate *drool*!!!
