I have a potentially awkward question.

The other night I was doing the regular pre-bedtime spot clean of Oliver’s living space when I noticed a dried puddle of milky-white fluid. It didn’t look like urine because it had dried and become almost cakey… the only texture I can think to compare it to is that of frosting, lol. At first I thought it was vomit, but then I remember that rabbits can’t throw up () . My girlfriend suggested that this could be a sign that Oliver’s starting bunny puberty. What do you think? I’m new to rabbits, so the obvious isn’t that obvious to me yet.

No idea… I just found it dried on the floor of his pen. I found some this morning, too, but not as much.

It’s probably dried pee. Bunnies excrete excess calcium in their urine and when the calcium dries it becomes chalky and white. Are you feeding him lots of veggies high in calcium (kale, broccoli, collard greens etc)?

Actually, the calcium thing makes sense. Oliver eats a small handful of kale every day. He also eats romaine, celery, bok choy, parsley, and basil regularly. Are any of those foods also rich in calcium? Should I cut back on the kale? Thanks for your responses.
