When my bunny is in her cage, sometimes she gets interested in what I am doing, or I just simply feel like talking to her.
I usually say “Heya Roo, what are you doin bunny? Heya bunny.” She always perks up and sometimes comes to the bars. Well, if I continue speaking she starts opening and closing her mouth the whole time I speak. She stops when I stop and starts when I start. She doesn’t make any noise. It’s adorable!

I am not sure what this behavior is, I haven’t heard of this in any other bunny. Anyone else experience this?
        Thanks!

Maybe she is.  If she’s making a sound you may have to have your ear near her mouth.

I have a talking rabbit. Snowy  At evening when I about to go to bed she’s usually laying on the living room floor.  I crawl up and lay down beside her, and while I pet her I make a whimpering sound. Very faintly she makes a similar rabbit equivalent of a whimper.  I continue and she continues and starts getting louder until she is very loud.  Sometimes there gets to be an anxious frustrating tone to her whimpering.  I think she gets upset that she can’t really talk.  So I stop and keep petting her to get her calmed down.

            Thanks for the reply, flemishwhite

I haven’t gotten really close to listen, I’ll try and see if I can hear anything.

Snowy’s situation sounds quite special as well. Is she a fairly vocal bunny generally?
