For 4 years I thought lionel was a boy, but they finally let me get a good pic of their butt. Is lionel actually a girl? Sorry for the hd bunny butt

          Hi!
When you pushed back on the sides of the pink(one finger on either side) did something pop out? Did the vet ever look at him to see the gender?

He might be a girl haha

That does look more like a female, and I don’t see any testicles. Did you get Lionel as a baby, or did you adopt what was supposed to be a neutered male? I tried to look at your profile, to see what you had said about Lionel in the past, but I can’t get it to come up. I was told that there was no member with your name.

He was originally from a pet store, and they said he was male. I’ve never seen any testicles, and he has a pretty big dewlap.

why did your vet never tell you the gender? especially after all this time. i’m just a little confused here on how it could be so long without knowing gender. especially because females can have high risks of reproductive cancer if they aren’t spayed.

They’ve never been to the vet, but I’m planning on it in the future. Believe me, I know all about that.

Lionel looks like a girl to me too. I’m glad you know about the risks of reproductive tract disorders in girl buns.

Pet store personnel are notorious for giving people the wrong information.  They often sell 2 “female” rabbits, then the buyers are surprised in a few weeks when they discover that one rabbit is a male, and they now have a litter of bunnies.

That’s probably what happened then. We were lucky she wasn’t pregnant, she was housed with other buns that were probably male.

Looks like a girl to me as well. To be sure, if you can get a look at a profile of the genitals, girls also have more of a pyramid shape (if that makes sense).
