Watch your bunny around synthetics. All our bunnies but one do fine with vinyl flooring and synthetic rugs. But our oldest female nibbles on rugs when out of her cage running around the house.
She came close to dying after eating on a polypropylene rug. We replaced the sags with sisal rugs and everything is fine.
Drwil, where do you purchase your sisal rugs from? Are the sisal rugs large? I have tarped half the rabbit room and I cover the edges with a durable curtin-type sheet as a precaution, but I want more traction for them. My tapestry rugs worked well till I got my second rabbit, and she went to town on it, so I had to chuck them
. Never again.
Sometimes vinyl flooring will turn up at the edges, which is more attractive for chewing. My rabbits ignore certain parts of the tarp but I always keep more attractive chewing options in the hotspots (like corners).
