I just thought of, and answered, this question myself, to myself. Good thing my parents don’t read these, they’d think I was off my rocker, talkin to myself! Okay well, I am, but…alright this has gone too far. Anyway! I know this will be hard to choose, so you can say more than one thing

What I love most is that they’re like a cross between cats and dogs for me. They don’t leap all over you or pester you to where it’s annoying so you’ll pet them like my doggies do, but they aren’t as independent as most my cats. They are quiet but reassuring friends that you can confide in or just babble to about nothing, and my Dallas boy just lays on my lap quietly while I talk and love on him. I also love how relaxing they are!

        What do you love most??

I love the bunny laps Layla does around the couch every morning as I’m eating breakfast while Charlie sits on the couch next to me watching the morning news. My buns aren’t relaxing! They’re terrors, chewing everything, destroying everything and then being on their best behaviour when guests come around so people think my wild stories of cord chewing, carpet pulling and untamed destruction are just imagined.

My buns are nothing like cats or dogs. They do leap all over me and pester me, they are so annoying all the time (except when Layla is asleep!) but there’s something so hilarious about watching a bunny pick up your homework and run away with it that everything is forgiven.

I don’t love anything the most, because if I did I would only ever see the downsides to bunny ownership. Instead I love everything about them, their destruction, their stink eye, their demands for pats and their quiet disaproval of everything I do. I love my bunnies so much but Lord I don’t know why!

LOL! I guess Dallas is a heavensent for me then he’s pretty well behaved besides the occasional carpet tearing and constant wall-eating..hehehe.

Ohhh that is so funny the bun woke up and peed herself hehee. poor bun bad slave. hehee.

I love it when Cotton comes to dig on me. I love it when he does his little tooth purr and stretches out for his pets. And I love the way he sits in a huddle with tooth purrs and pets. I love the way he licks his face after drinking or eating.

Ruby I love the way she jumps and runs and climbs on me. She is a little lover too.

HB I love the way he turns his head under my neck facing me and honks hums and just loves his attentions.

I do love all animals, but Rabbits in particular. Dogs and cats have evolved to instinctively suck up to humans as a food source. No matter how close you get you know a good portion of your relationship is hardwired into the animal’s brain as a partnership of convenience. Rabbits haven’t been domesticated for nearly as long and start life viewing humans as an enemy. With rabbits you have to slowly and patiently earn their trust and companionship.

It actually says something good about we humans, that we can form powerful bonds with and earn the trust of creatures whom instinctively fear us. Now if only we could do that with each other.

Good point VinnieD. Never looked at it that way til now. I do believe my rabbit is my teacher in all things important.

I cannot state what I love most. There’s too much to love!

i think you are very right VinnieD. I honestly believe that when I get home, Boston is excited to see ME–not for food or anything else. They are so much smarter than anyone would ever think!
