What can cause a bunny to lose their litterbox training skills?

  This is driving my boyfriend insane having to clean up after her. Dorothy has been SO GOOD with using her litterbox for 3 months straight, no accidents. Now she has waited for us to turn our backs to pee on the couch for two days straight. Why would this all of a sudden happen? To me, this is clearly a behavioral issue.. She uses her litterbox for her droppings, one will occassionally appear on the couch when she’s playing, but this is expected. Not one accident for 3 months straight after we re-trained her. Loud noises don’t work very well with distracting her – she is very willful. Any ideas?
  
  Some background info – she is spayed about 1 year old mini Dutch or Satin. She gets 4-5 hours outside of her pen, which is 4×4 sq ft. She gets 2 salads a day, fresh water 2-3x a day, 1-2 treats a day, and timothy hay all day. She has two litterboxes – one in the front room by the couch and one in her pen. She has plenty of toys and stimulation for digging, tossing, climbing, jumping, etc. Normal looking droppings, normal urine.

  It could be that she’s claiming the sofa as ‘hers’ Sometimes bunnies like to pee on soft things so if she’s only recently been allowed on the couch, that could be why.
