  Hello, i rescued my first rabbit about 3 months ago and am very curious about what breed he is. He is a fully grown adult rabbit and weights just over 3 pounds. Any advice would be amazing, thank you 🙂

  Seriously though, I couldnt say his exact breed but he definitely had some dwarf-like traits. The roundedness in his face for example. He could be a “false dwarf” – this is a netherland dwarf that didnt inherited the dwarf gene from one of its ND parents. So while they are still ND’s they will often have longer ears then the standard ND’s and be somewhat larger at around 3-4 pounds. That said, he has a kind of compact but stocky little body. It’s possible hes a dwarf cross with unknown breed. Sorry that doesnt give a definite answer. Some other members might have more of an idea!

  Hey, sorry for the late reply. After looking it up and asking my vet about him I also believe hes either a Netherland dwarf mix or a false Netherland dwarf 🙂 that advice really helped me. Thank you x

  His name is peter aha very classic. He came with that name and i decided to keep it as its the name he has had his whole life apparently. Hes a sweetie, he has changed my life for the better 🙂
