what breed is my rabbit??

Hello!! I have a rabbit who I got from my petstore, and I just wasn’t sure what breed she is – so can anyone tell from the photos? She’s with my daughter in the first 3 and having a casual lay down with a “poo pebblet” stuck on her leg..  so cute!! (hence why I have my nickname on here as CharliePebblets.. her name is Charlie.. and she leaves pebblets everywhere!!

Smooshed nose suggests Holland. At the very least, she is a lop mix.

She sure is cute though. Is cute a breed?

Adorable!! I’d say either a Holland or mini lop – hard to tell without a good indication as to size and maturity.

Pet store rabbits are very rarely purebred, not like it matters anyways! How old is she?

Thanks you guys!! I think she’s pretty adorable too!! As far as I know.. the pet store said she was 3-4 months when I got her, and i’ve had her for about a month and a half.. so maybe 5 months ish?? So how big can I expect her to get if she is a Holland lop?

I’ve also seen on facebook – the pet store that I got her from say she is a dwarf lop rabbit – is that the same as the holland lop? just from searching online they don’t seem much different – it’s confusing!!

I think the only real difference is full grown size…but she looks like a holland lop to me…a broken black. tort…

my bud is a holland and hes less than 5, but he has the dwarf gene. My first holland lop Bunnie didn’t have the dwarf gene and she was probably 6lbs (but then again she was a bit overweight)

I think dwarf lop and Holland lop are the same thing. Hollands have a dwarfism gene. Like SirThumpsey said, sometimes they can be a false dwarf.

I also agree with holland. She looks like one, and that particular color (broken tort) is extremely common in hollands and not so much in minis. I would assume she’s purebred, not that it matters. Lops mixed with other breeds generally don’t have lopped ears. Could be mixed with mini lop, but she doesn’t look it to me.

She’s very cute! Broken tort hollands are my absolute favorite (don’t tell Otto since he’s a broken black).

A quick lesson on the US vs UK lop names:
The US holland lop is the UK mini lop.
The US mini lop is the UK dwarf lop.

So a dwarf lop and a holland lop aren’t the same, which is confusing because hollands actually have a dwarfing gene while mini lops (the US version) do not.

Thanks everyone!! So helpful!! I’m really enjoying her – She IS so SWEET and cute – and VERY affectionate – she’s always jumping up on my chest and lying there and nudging me with her head and wanting to be petted and massaged around her ears and jaw – she does the grinding A LOT!!! And if I stop rubbing her – suddenly there’s these little digging paws on my chest and nips at my fingers – and licks on my chest and hands – SO cute – I especially love looking at her little mouth – I’m so lucky she seems so affectionate – I really hope she doesn’t grow out of it!! PS I have a cute video of her eating romaine lettuce for the first time – and I zoomed in on her little mouth – it’s SO cute!! Where could I post it?? I suppose I could put it on youtube – and leave the links?? That is if anyone would want to see it..
