I bought him from the pet shop as a “purebred male.”

I’m having trouble identifying what breed he is. Possibly a mini rex? Or mini satin?

I have attached a couple photos.

            He is such a cutie

It’s tough to tell what he could be. He’s definitely not a mini rex, they have very short plush fur and short curled whiskers. He could be a poorly marked Dutch mix, or simply a small breed mix with vienna markings. It’s really tough to tell. In any case, he is really, really cute

I agree, I think he could be a dutch mix also. Not just because of the white markings, but his head and ears too… hard to say really! I love his soft grey colour and the splashes of white.
He could even be a full Dutch. The ones that are “mis-marked” often end up in the pet market.

He is gorgeous! I love those ears and the grey colouring <3 I would say at least part Dutch too!

                  Handsome bunny 🙂

He looks like a cross breed, part dutch. Never believe what a pet shop tells you.

I love cross breeds though, they have such long lives and very hardy buns. Do get him checked by your vet though. pet shop buns are not always the healthiest.

I’m inclined to also say Dutch, though not sure if he’s a mix!

I have a Dutch though, and she has the classic markings. Some Dutch can be “mismarked” and not come out with that pattern. I am leaning more toward Dutch because of head/ear shape and also judging by the fur, he seems Dutch to me! He is simply a gorgeous color! Such a handsome bun

I don’t know what breed he is, but he certainly is beautiful. He has a very elegant look about him.

What a cutie!! I agree with previous comments, definitely got lots of dutch in there, but probably a mix of dutch and something else.

                        Love your Bun

                        Have a great day, -L

Historically, a lot of users will mention things the pet store employee(s) recommend or advise, and they were given incorrect information. If you have any questions or concerns about your rabbit care, definitely don’t hesitate to post and ask!

I don’t have any experience with non-netherland-dwarf breeds, but it seems previous posts have a good idea of the breed. I love the gray coloring though.

Blue is a Dutch color. I’m going with the others and saying mismarked Dutch. It could be why he was at the pet store. He’s adorable though!
