I buy the Oxbow Basics T pellets.  I did not like one of the preservatives used in Kaytee Timothy and their response email was vague and uninformative when asked about it.  Also Kaytee makes more “bad” rabbit products than they do good- yogurt treats, and many other sugar added treats or treats and foods with nuts.  Kaytee Timothy is a very standard diet for house bunnies- and I am impressed that they did respond to the market need with that product- I just wish they would get on board with others.

I also use the Oxbow T. If you feed the right amounts, even tho you spend a bit more to purchase it, it will last for quite awhile. With other foods, there never seemed to be much consistency, almost like their formula was changing from purchase to purchase. Another nice thing about Oxbow is that it’s now available in petstores. Since it’s more readily available, hopefully more people will begin to get that instead of the junkier brands. Zupreem is another brand that has pretty good numbers, but I think it costs just as much, so might as well go for Oxbow.

At the risk of repeating everyone else, I use Oxbow BBT – here is a link to their web site: http://www.oxbowanimalhealth.com/products/type/fortified_food;jsessionid=91796A7D58BB840C02968E2DFEA766A7.vipa-02a?node=1519.   I know others who use American Pet Diner Timmy (APD) and I’ve heard a few things about Zupreem.

I’ve only used Oxbow Bunny Basics T. I’ve never used anything else. It’s the best out there.

I use Martin Little Friends Less Active Pellets. They are made with Timothy and I’m pretty happy with them. The oxbow is not available at my pet store.

I recently had to stop feeding the Kaytee brand as it was apparently causing some health problems in one of my rabbits. I think it is too sugary for them, which of course will appeal to them all the more, but I successfully turned all but one bunny over to the Oxbow Basic T. (my third bunny simply has too delicate a digestive system to tolerate pellets anymore)

Oxbow has a lot of great products. I highly recommend them.

Well yesterday I started to switch him over to the Oxbow brand. He may not even be able to tell the difference.

The first bag we bought, not being wise to this site (!), was Mazuri? Something like that, anyway. Alfalfa-based, too high in protein, too low in fiber (as we found out here). Ever since it’s been Oxbow Basics T. She loves the stuff and there wasn’t any problem making the switch.

OH good for you mattman – iI think the instructions on the bag say that it will take a few weeks – not only does the gradual switch help a rabbit to get used to new pellet taste, but it also help their digestive system get adjusted to the new pellet as well.

I use Kaytee Timothy Complete. It was the only brand I found at Petco that was timothy hay based and not mixed with other junk. Lily seems to do fine on them.
