I was just wondering what kinds of animals everyone has. I know that we all have rabbits but I have seen that many of the people here have other pets too. I thought it would be interesting to know the different creatures that we all have.

I personally have four cats that are all between six months and 15 months old. Bentley is my brown/grey tabby. He showed up at my door one day and I couldn’t turn him away. He is a scaredy cat though. I think he was abused before I got him. He spent the first two days that Henri was around running away from him. Trinity is my only girl, a calico. She is the princess and she knows it! She is Henri’s cuddle buddy lately which is really cute! Mercury is my russian blue. He is a sweetheart and him and Nemo are the best of friends. Nemo is my odd eyed white cat. He has one blue eye and one gold eye and is one of the prettiest cats I have ever seen. He is EVERYONE’s friend and loves attention.

Other then them, I have a fish tank with three African clawed frogs and another with guppies. Then of course there is Henri, my English angora that I rescued from being left outside.

My friend’s tell me that I run a minature petting zoo. I wouldn’t have it any other way though.

So what kinds of animals do you have in your furry families?

I only have Thumper.   That is just for now though…I plan on adding more.  As it is, my boys are trying to talk me into getting a cat, and a guinea pig…and another rabbit…maybe some dogs…  They have gone obsessed!

I have 5 cats,2 gerbils & 2 mice, they live in the bunny room so that cats don’t eat them. The last cat was suppose to be a foster but no one could deal with her attitude problem (and she doesn’t like any of the other pets and is quite nasty the fist couple of months which took a tole on the fur family), she has improved tons though and seems to think she is queen of the castle which is pretty funny to me. Then the buns, yikes there are 5 at the moment (4 were the baby rescues though) .

Other than the three buns, we have a Green Anole (little tree lizard, pretty dull guy) and a goldfish.

Call me crazy but I have 2 Rabbits, 17 rats, 1 Red ear slider trutle, 1 leopard tortoise.  They keep us busy and out of trouble. I also have a dog but he lives with my parents. My dad is so attached to him I wasn’t able to take him when I moved out.

                      Welcome to the zoo:

                      Official residents….

Dogs: 3; Lexi (Finn’s BFF Border Collie Mix), Oscar (Maltese), and Harvey (Chihuahua/Papillion Mix)

Sugar Gliders:  2, Trinket and Spark

                      Buns: 1; Finn

Koi: 7+, Luna (white), Leo (red and white), Tangerine (orange), Tritan (black, white, and orange), Princess Buttercup (metallic yellow), Midnight & Twilight (black) and literally hundreds of babies which we HOPE are koi, LOL but aren’t sure

                      Unofficial "visitors"….

Cats: 4, two white ones, two black ones, strays we feed

Dogs: 1, a gorgeous pit who is sweet as sugar and runs to our house for food and play but "belongs" to someone else

Hummingbirds: 3 friends who come to the window for morning chats with me

Dragonflies: tons at the pond to whisper secrets with the fish

…and of course, the hardest to tame and train, one very loving, patient husband.   And since they aren’t pets or animals, I can’t include the vast numbers of faeries who live at my homestead, hee, hee hee!

I have my two bunnies and my dog Dallas I added a picture of her. I used to have cats. One for 15 years but she died of cancer . After that I had like two kittens one got out and got lost never found her and the other kitten I had attacked my mom and shes afraid of them now so I can’t have a cat until I move out.

btw my dog hates getting her picture taken she runs from the camera so I had to hold her

                              just my Meadow girl…

we rent our house so we’re not allowed to have dogs.  i like cats if they’re other people’s… they are just not the pet for me.  we are allowed to have Meadow since she is a "CAGED ANIMAL" who is NEVER in her CAGE!!!  shhh… don’t tell the landlord!

ideally, i want lots of bunnies… well… maybe three.  but right now my house is just big enough for Meadow so it’s just me and my girl!  to get more, i’d have to have pretty much a whole room or large space devoted just to them.  now Meadow is in our living room [where we spend the most time] so she gets lots of attention.

Toejam? THAT has got to be the BEST name for a winnywig I think i’ve ever heard. We used to have one called Lizzie, gorgeous lop eared bun (Saffy), Mama’s Siamese cat, numerous hamsters, and gerbils, mice, rats (the rats and mice lived together happily), a rescued hedgehog (snuffles), fish, inside and pond / frogs. Then we got a rescue dog who had been found tied to a gate on a farm with a litter of her pups, fantastic she was, died 2 years ago aged 16, gutted! with her we also had another siamese cat (my mum’s girl) but sadly she died last year, absolutely gutted we were again, and now residing at ma and pa’s is my Tonkinese cat Cameron, that my parents got me for my 21st birthday. When I moved out there was NO WAY i could split him up from the dog and cat as they were inseperable. He is definitely lonely without his companions.

The boyfriend had to leave his dog with his mum too as the 4 cats adore her…so we now have at present (my last pearlscale fisherywillock died last week after 6 long years), ….
Mr Brian BubbleBum, (a.k.a. Mr Buggers / BriStar / Bryce / Sonny) and Bettie Bean (a.k.a. Weeny Bean / Sweaty)
Lennox the Black Moor fish and now with new addition since Saturday, Judith Keppel, a teeny bright orange thing that i can’t remember the name of. 🙂  Although i’m sure he doesn’t thank us for our concern as he now spends his time trying to get away from the annoyance who seems fixated with his bum, even swimming between his elegant floaty tail at every given opportunity!

At my apartment here I have 4 guinea pigs (2 males, 2 females) and the 2 buns right now…with 2-3 more coming at the end of October.

I’m a fish guru so I’ve got many many fish…

Back home at my parents we’ve got 2 dogs and 4 cats, and 3 horses. 2 of the horses are coming here with me on Saturday *eek!!*

She does physical therapy on horses and just fixed this one horse that had such bad feet they thought he wasn’t going to make it – but she healed him! She’s kinda like a horse whisperer

ToeJam and Frankie look like they could be cousins. There coloring is so similar. I have said it before and I will say it again, Frankie has the most beautiful markings. Toejam is so cute he makes me want to get a piggie. If it wasn’t for the squeals I would do it. You have the cutest names for your animals. I even love the little one peeking through the fluff.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments on my pets!

I found an excellent home for my dragon with a guy who had to leave his behind moving from Boston! He was very enthusiastic and asked lots of questions to make sure he gave my little guy the best care.

In the picture of the piggy with my bun, the piggy was nearing full-grown. She is an adult now and hasn’t gotten much bigger, but she is a little wider! Haha!

Molotov- I’m not quite sure what kind of pit Hexx is, I adopted him from a shelter as a pup!

Medina – The squealing isn’t annoying, it’s actually quite funny to hear a little squeak every time you open the fridge drawer! She only squeals for her greens and when she wants to be with the rabbit.

Jason – is all that blood from a single snake bite? Yikes!  Your critters are all beautiful! The picture of the turtle made me smile and so did the yellow snake hanging out with your beer! Ha

The first one is Bentley lounging in the sun. The white kitty is Nemo, he’s my youngest, he’s actually about the same age as Henri. Then of course there is Mercury. I don’t have a more recent picture of him on this computer for some reason. He is full grown now though. The calico is my "princess" Trinity. She has the biggest attitude of all my animals, she truly is a woman! Then of course there is my newest addition, the fluffy Henri!

The mom was Squeakie, the dad was brevay (after our favorite coffee) and the son was squeaker. Just one of them was not to bad but when all three started to squack it was deafening. Ours were just solid brown (now that I think about it most of our pets have been brown, huh?) but I love the colors of yours.
